How Much Does Phalloplasty Cost in Istanbul?

Phalloplasty in Istanbul typically costs from $14,500 to $26,500 depending on the surgical technique and reconstruction complexity. Patients generally save around 95% compared to the US average of $110,000. Local packages commonly include the surgical procedure, anesthesia, preoperative lab tests, several nights of hospital stay, and VIP airport-to-clinic transfers for international patients.

  • Cosmetic phalloplasty: Typically runs 15-25% lower than reconstructive options for aesthetic lengthening or girth enhancement.
  • Gender-affirming reconstruction: Costs vary based on the flap technique, such as radial forearm or anterolateral thigh.
  • Penile prosthesis: Adding an inflatable or semi-rigid erectile implant typically introduces an additional premium for the device.
  • Clinical tier: University-affiliated hospitals with international JCI accreditation often command higher fees than private surgical boutiques.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Istanbul serves as Turkey's primary reconstructive hub, offering deeper surgical expertise than regional destination cities. The concentration of JCI-accredited facilities like Memorial Şişli Hospital and Hisar Hospital Intercontinental provides a high-volume environment for complex microsurgery. Patients find the best value in clinics specializing in urology and sexology, such as Uroaesthetic, where surgeons often combine phalloplasty with advanced erectile dysfunction treatments using ISO-standard protocols.

Data verified by Bookimed as of August 2026, based on patient requests and official quotes from 100 clinics worldwide. Median costs are based on real invoices (2025–2026) and updated monthly. Actual prices may vary.

Everything was excellent
Everything was excellent. The service, the kindness, everything was super good, I have no complaints about this trip. I clearly remember the conversation with the surgeon; he explained all the stages and realistic results, was honest about the risks, and showed me photos of previous results. I am still in recovery. I feel better than I expected. There were no additional expenses beyond the price I paid at the clinic, and the team has kept in touch with me for follow-up. My only advice for future patients is to come with more time to enjoy the city's views and its beautiful culture.

The donor site on my arm is now healing well, and the position of the phallus looks natural, which was the most important thing for me
If you’re seriously considering this operation, I can share my experience. I had a forearm flap phalloplasty (RFF) with simultaneous urethral lengthening. To be honest, the biggest challenge turned out to be the nausea after the anaesthesia, rather than the pain. The donor site on my arm is now healing well, and the position of the phallus looks natural, which was the most important thing for me. The whole clinic team worked very smoothly together. My main advice: bring some comfortable trousers for home and elasticated boxer shorts. This is very important after the operation.
Hello, I was met at the airport and taken to the clinic. I was a bit nervous at first, but after meeting the assistant and then the doctors, I calmed down.I think everything went perfectly; I really liked the doctors, as well as the nurses and support staff. I was discharged the day after the operation and put up in a hotel 200 metres from the clinic – a decent hotel 👍.I had my check-ups, was discharged and given medication; I flew out on the fifth day. Of course, I was examined before departure and taken to the airport. Overall, everything was excellent and I was very pleased.I feel pretty normal now; the stitches ache a bit sometimes, and I’m still getting used to it, but otherwise everything’s working 😉😃
