Dr. Jiah Jeong, MD, PhD, is a board-certified pediatrician with a subspecialty in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition. Dr. Jeong is Medical Director at Kim Sook Ja Children's Hospital and Director of the Asia Human Milk Research Institute. Dr. Jeong is a former Professor of Pediatrics at Hallym University. Dr. Jeong completed fellowships at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital and Seoul National University Children's Hospital. Dr. Jeong also trained at the Mayo Clinic.
Clinical focus includes pediatric gastroenterology, infant and child nutrition, breastfeeding medicine, food allergy, and growth and development. Dr. Jeong is an active member of Korean societies in pediatric gastroenterology, allergy, infectious diseases, neonatology, and breastfeeding medicine.
Publications include multicountry studies on human milk across four Asian countries. Other work covers nutrition for high-risk infants using partially hydrolyzed whey formula. Dr. Jeong has also published growth data on full-term infants born at 37 to 42 weeks.
