Andrew Foggitt is a UK-trained Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon who studied at Liverpool University Medical School, before undertaking his surgical and orthopedic training in the Wessex region of the South of England. He passed the orthopedic exit exam in 2000 and took up a Consultant post in November 2002 in Winchester, UK, as a General Orthopedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in foot and ankle surgery. This was a new post, and he set up a foot and ankle service, which was sufficiently successful, that he had to give up his general orthopedic practice to concentrate on purely foot and ankle surgery, which he continued, for over 19 years before moving to the Burjeel Hospital in Dubai, full-time, to provide foot and ankle services to the local population.
