The doctor is a distinguished surgeon specializing in eye surgery with extensive experience in ophthalmology and optometry. After obtaining a doctorate from the University of Vienna in 1984 and a license to practice as a general practitioner in 1989, the doctor has held various significant positions, including Senior Physician and Head of the Eye Clinic. The doctor has contributed to the development and research of stereotactic radiation therapy for choroid tumors and authored about 100 scientific papers, particularly in ophthalmic oncology and cataract surgery.
Training included ophthalmology at the Vienna University Eye Clinic and a specialist designation in ophthalmology and optometry in 1994. The doctor is a member of numerous national and international societies and has held leadership roles such as President of the Vienna Ophthalmological Society.
