How Much Does Radioiodine therapy Cost in Jerusalem?

Radioiodine therapy in Jerusalem typically costs from $3,500 to $9,200. The final price depends on the isotope dosage and required isolation period. In the US, similar procedures cost around $11,500 on average. Jerusalem offers savings of around 50%. Treatment usually includes professional specialist consultations, thyroid mapping, and the radioactive isotope itself.

  • Medical indication: Hyperthyroidism protocols are generally more affordable than cancer treatments.
  • Thyroid cancer: Requires higher radiation doses, which elevates the total medication cost.
  • Isolation stay: Multi-day hospitalization in lead-shielded rooms increases the package price.
  • Diagnostic scans: Post-treatment whole-body scintigraphy scans often add to the initial estimate.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Jerusalem represents the heart of Israel's high-complexity medical infrastructure. Centers like Hadassah Medical Center operate with Nobel Peace Prize-nominated expertise and Newsweek world rankings. This concentration of clinical authority means patients access complex isotope mapping techniques for cancer. These protocols are rarely available at this level of precision in regional centers.

There were only positive aspects in working with Bookimed, I was absolutely happy with everything, I was just glad how everything was clear and understandable, but I did not understand some points in working with the clinic. The impression was that for the clinic the result is not so important as making money. I’m not a doctor, but I understand that you can’t take codle tests. A person ate, if a person comes with stomach problems, this is minimal. In fact, we passed tests for $ 750 but did not understand whether we have problems with sugar or not. In Ukraine, they again tested.

Many thanks to all the staff
I am very touched by the attention of the staff. The very professional gimmick of doctors, they do not exacerbate anything more, but on the contrary facilitate the morale state of the patient. Many thanks to all the staff.
