My main concern going into this was how difficult the recovery would be, and it is definitely a process. The surgeon and staff were supportive throughout. While my stomach is already looking flatter, it's still swollen. The biggest challenge by far is just standing up straight. My advice is to make sure your home is prepared for you to heal and recover in comfort. It really helps. Also, measure yourself before purchasing any faja or compression gear, as the sizes differ so much across different sites.

I had a really great experience with my doctor and care here. I wanted a very natural looking nose, not to look "doll-like" or like I had a rhinoplasty. Same for lip filler. I felt like both were done taking exactly what I wanted into account and the overall symmetry at the end for my nostrils was excellent - my nose had been broken and before surgery lack of symmetry was a big issue. I believe it required different degrees of cutting for each nostril so I'm very impressed that the end result's symmetry appears less than 1mm different from one another, that's a huge improvement from before. The shape is really nice and I was impressed that after surgery the packing was done in such a way that I was able to breathe through my nose the whole time, even during my recovery.

First off, I used Aura Wellness Center, instead of Alice Beauty Clinic. And, their staff was very accommodating and thoughtful - everyone was super nice and considerate, especially Sara and Maria. Sara was the best English speaker there and helped me with everything. Maria was kind, warm, and also a great English speaker. They made it less lonely since I had this journey alone. Through Bookimed, I was assisted by Confidence, she was super thoughtful and checked up on me. She made sure I had connections with my medical coordinator and doctor. My coordinator was named Carlos. He was kind, answering all my questions and even texted me after my surgery numerous time to ensure I was recovering and satisfied with my results. My doctor was Dr. Ayala. I can't say much about him since he was in and out of the surgery room. I met him briefly. And, I'm unsure of my results as I am only one month post-op.

He is so down to earth and approachable, he made me feel so at ease. I let him know the next day I wanted to proceed with the surgery, from that point on I only communicated with him. He helped me to schedule the surgery, my preop appointments and made recommendations for recovery houses. In less than a month I arrived in Guadalajara, he met with me the next day and we discussed the surgery in length. At that point I decided to add a lip lift to the procedure. I passed all my preop and had my surgery on August 26th. Dr Marroquin was amazing the day of surgery, he spoke to me in english (which he speaks very well), he made sure I understood every step of the process. Everything went very well, I spent the next 10 days in Mexico recovering at a recovery house. I spoke with Dr Marroquin every day while I was there. I had zero complications and flew home after 10 days to continue my recovery at home. I am 3 months post op and I have zero regrets. I speak with Dr Marroquin every few weeks and keep him updated on my progress with photos. If you are considering this surgery, I 100% recommend having a consultation with Dr Marroquin, he is an amazing doctor and human being.

The diastasis recti repair is still very tender, and my biggest mobility challenge is just getting out of bed. It’s a slow process. That said, I can already see an amazing difference in my waist, and my entire torso, which makes the discomfort feel purposeful. This doctor is AWESOME. The support from the surgeon and the entire team was excellent. My most practical advice for other moms is that consistent help is essential for childcare. You will not be able to manage it alone.

If a friend was considering this, I'd tell them my experience with the surgeon, staff, and clinic has been very positive. At this point in my recovery, everything is feeling about as expected. The clinic team has stayed in touch, and I really appreciated that there were no additional expenses on top of what I initially paid. That was a relief. I would suggest asking for more time with the doctor before surgery and to bring pictures of what you’d like done specifically to make sure you're aligned.

The thing that surprised me most was seeing my new waistline so early in the healing process. Even with initial swelling, the contouring from my full abdominoplasty and liposuction on my flanks is already so much better than expected. Recovery has its challenges. For me, the hardest part is that the drains are annoying, but I know that's temporary and part of the journey. My new belly button is healing nicely, which was a relief. Dr. Marraquin was amazing. He spent over an hour with me on my consultation before my surgery. Let me know absolutely everything that was going to happen. His years of training is quite obvious to anybody who is requesting his services. He answered every question I could possibly think of. Additionally, he was available through text messaging 24 hours a day. He’s response time was impressive. I was very pleased with the outcome of my facelift. I would refer him to any buddy I know.

I highly recommend Bookimed is just really convenient.The transportation to and from the hotel, hospital and airport went smoothly. Everyone was extremely welcoming and nice. My recovery at FCH Hotel was very good as well. Is in a great area of Guadalajara, totally safe and lots of dining options.
