My Coordinator was EXCELLENT! She was knowledgeable and helped me with every detail from transportation to hotel accommodations to restaurants to shopping
If you're considering under-eye fillers, here’s my practical take on the process. The planning was very smooth. My "Coordinator was EXCELLENT! She was knowledgeable and helped me with every detail from transportation to hotel accommodations to restaurants to shopping." The doctor was meticulous, injecting carefully and slowly while checking for symmetry. It is too early to tell the final result. One thing to be aware of is the language dynamic. "Most of the staff was bilingual; however, the doctor was not so this required nursing staff translation. I would have been more comfortable if the doctor answered my questions directly versus using a translator. This was just a preference. It did not minimize the excellent treatment that was provided. I definitely plan to return for services and will be prepared by learning conversational Spanish." A key tip: understand prices are per syringe, so the final cost is determined on-site. I had no additional expenses. Paying with cash is cheaper, but not all local ATMs dispense US dollars.

FAQ about treatment in Mexico

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Is it safe to get Botox injections in Tijuana?

Botox in Tijuana is safe. It requires a board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist at an accredited medical facility. Clinics in Zona Rio use genuine, FDA-approved products. They also follow strict hygiene protocols that are regulated by Mexican health authorities. This helps keep patients safe and results natural-looking.

  • Surgeon credentials: For safety, choose a specialist certified by the Mexican Council of Plastic Surgery (CMCPER).
  • Accredited facilities: Centers like CosMed Clinic have international accreditation from organizations like QUADA.
  • Product authenticity: Reputable doctors like Dr. Arturo Muñoz Meza use genuine Allergan or recognized neuromodulators.
  • Safety protocols: Leading clinics operate within major hospital networks. This provides sterile environments and professional oversight.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Safety in Tijuana often depends on clinic specialization, not just price. Centers like PLASTIKS focus on reconstructive surgery and serve over 400 patients annually. Choose a surgical center instead of a standalone beauty spa. This means your injector has deep knowledge of facial anatomy.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize that seeing a licensed doctor instead of a spa injector is vital. They recommend avoiding bargain clinics. This helps prevent problems like temporary facial paralysis or uneven results.
