Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şerife Bayraktar is an ophthalmologist in the Glaucoma Unit at Istanbul University–Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (2012–2025). She has been an Associate Professor since 2020. She has 18 years of practice and experience in over 15,000 surgical cases.
She is a member of the Turkish Ophthalmology Association (Glaucoma Unit; Istanbul Branch Board of Directors), the European Glaucoma Society, the Turkish Medical Association, and KAHEV. Her certificates include the Ahmed Glaucoma Valve Surgical Implant Course—Certificate of Excellence (2006), Advanced Clinical Research Training (2012), and Diagnostic Methods in Glaucoma (2013). Her publications include Atlas of Glaucoma Surgery (2022), Glaucoma Analysis (2022), the Turkish edition of Shields Textbook of Glaucoma (2014), Telemedicine and Clinical AI (2021), Organ Transplants and Nursing Care (2021), and the Internal–Surgical–Forensic Emergencies Handbook (2024).
Dr. Sezen Akkaya is an eye surgery specialist at Dunyagoz Eye Hospital Istanbul Altunizade. She has completed over 9,000 surgical cases. Dr. Akkaya treats complex conditions like strabismus and cataracts using modern techniques. She serves as an Associate Professor at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital.
Dr. Serdar Marol is an ophthalmologist with 28 years of practice. He has been involved in more than 25,000 surgical cases.
He graduated from the Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine (1983–1989). He completed ophthalmology training at the Inönü University Faculty of Medicine, Turgut Özal Medical Centre (1993–1997).

Dr. Ulviye Askerova, MD, is an ophthalmologist. She earned her MD from Azerbaijan Medical University in 2019. She is completing an ophthalmology residency at Göztepe City Hospital / Istanbul Medeniyet University (2021–2025). Her clinical focus includes cataract surgery with intraocular lenses (including trifocal), medical retina, pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, and oculoplastics.
She has two peer-reviewed international publications (Graefes Arch Clin Exp Ophthalmol, 2023; Medical Journal of Medeniyet, 2025). She has given four presentations at national and international meetings (ASO & TROS 2022; TOD 2023; TOD 2024; ASO & TROS 2024).
She completed the TOD Vitreoretinal Surgery Unit “Basic Techniques in Vitreoretinal Surgery” Skills Transfer Course in May 2024. She has participated in nine congresses, symposia, and webinars from 2022 to 2025, including the TOD National Congresses (56th and 57th) and the 9th TOD Live Surgery Symposium.

In Turkey, hotels of different price ranges and service levels are presented. The level of Turkish hotels is comparable to hotels in Tunisia, Morocco or Egypt. Most tourists choose 4 and 5 star hotels with all-inclusive meals. Such hotels have everything for a comfortable stay: varied food, a large well-groomed territory, animation for children and adults. Some hotels have their own water park, which guests can use for free. Budget travelers can afford to book an economical 3-star hotel with half board or no meals at all.
The main advantage of Turkish resorts is the long beach season. On the Mediterranean coast, it starts in April and lasts until November. In the resorts of the Aegean Sea — from May to October.
