How Much Does Examination of eyes Cost in Turkey?

An eye exam in Turkey typically costs from $100 to $100. The final price depends on the specific diagnostic tests needed and the clinic tier. Major hubs like Istanbul and Antalya offer consistent pricing for standard assessments. Patients save about 50% compared to the US, where similar exams cost $200 on average.

  • Standard ophthalmologist consultation: Includes a visual acuity test and a basic eye health check.
  • City variations: Prices in Istanbul and Antalya are similar due to high clinic density.
  • Advanced investigations: Specialized imaging like OCT scans usually adds about $100 to $300 more.
  • Specialist expertise: Consultations with professors or highly experienced surgeons may carry a small premium.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a dedicated eye hospital provides access to a massive scale of clinical experience. Dunyagoz Eye Hospital Istanbul Etiler treats over 66,000 patients every year. Thank you all who supported me from the very beginning of my decision and to the end! Peace, health and fulfilment of wishes!
We were brought straight to the hospital after arriving. Good transfer! Olga, our interpreter, met us at the hospital. She was not only an interpreter but also a counsellor on many issues in Istanbul, as it was the first time we had been here. In the evening we took a blood test and in the morning I was operated. I came out of the anaesthesia easily, already in a new image. The doctor was very attentive, both before the operation, during the examination, and after. Service staff, very nice nurses, even though I did not understand them, but smiled doing their job and did not embarrass me. In the hospital I was with my husband only two nights, I felt good and we moved to the hotel (room large, clean with breakfast included!). We went to the dressing. There was always a transfer! Additionally I want to add about Istanbul - it is very interesting and mysterious city fairy tale! Thank you all who supported me from the very beginning of my decision and to the end! Peace, health and fulfilment of wishes! I recommend it!
That's it!

I’ve been to many clinics because of problems with my eyes. But I’ve never felt such disappointment anywhere else :( I flew in from Kazakhstan specifically to visit this clinic. I’ve wasted so much time, money and energy. I wouldn’t recommend this clinic to anyone.
Nothing
That’s it! 1) Organisation, 2) Price, 3) Staff, 4) Lack of professionalism. Initially, they said: a doctor’s consultation with 7 additional tests, including a transfer from and to the airport, 2–3 days’ hospital stay with one accompanying person (in the event of surgery), pre- and post-operative examinations – all for 800 euros. In the end, I had to get to the clinic on my own, there was no transfer, and the two tests and examination cost 1,200 dollars. And I barely managed to get the examination report after three days! THE EXAMINATION REPORT!

It was the best decision to come to this clinic
I would like to express my gratitude to the clinic. I had my eyesight corrected with the help of No touch laser, which I had been suffering from since childhood. I am very grateful to the doctor, she is a master of her craft! And the coordinator Ivanna, who organised everything perfectly. It was the best decision to come to this clinic.
It's very quick.
