We really liked the Physiomer hospital, it is very cozy and comfortable here. A big plus for the team, especially Melih, he helped us a lot on organizational issues. The physiotherapists are very patient and kind. Hussein and Zhannan are the best in their business. We have been choosing places where they can help us for a long time and we were not mistaken in choosing Physiomer, our little one was happy to work with this team.

The biggest thing that surprised me is how much my walking balance has already improved
The biggest thing that surprised me is how much my walking balance has already improved. It’s a direct result of the support from the surgeon and the entire staff here. Their approach is focused on task-specific therapy, and the daily sessions are intense but effective. I've found the robotic walker to be an incredibly useful tool for my progress. It is hard work. My main daily challenge has been managing fatigue, but the team is attentive and helps create a plan that works. I feel like I'm in very capable hands for this stage of my recovery.

All the staff work as one friendly team. The hospital also offers various cosmetic procedures as well as the installation of implants in a short period of time with the help of laser technology. Nobel rehab offered my mother, who had a stroke, a good program
Nobel rehab offered my mother, who had a stroke, a good program. It included both traditional methods, such as massage, physiotherapy exercises, a swimming pool, and modern methods using robots. Mom is going through an intensive rehabilitation course. I want to note the respectful and caring attitude of the staff. Living conditions and food completely suit my mother.

The clinic is beautiful, but not for ordinary people. I can say about the doctors of the clinic that ordinary doctors, like everywhere else, are not interested in patients, and money is not interested. Those who are interested in patients are coordinators, doctors are organized, they went to Istanbul for rehabilitation, only Alexander helped us, thanks to him a lot. It is a great desire that the doctors of the clinic also work as the coordinator doctors work, consult with them before you go.

I get up, walk, try to put my stick away
When, with age, the body ceases to obey you, at first you blame the past years, and then the thought arises that you need to look for a panacea (a cure for all diseases). There are organizations in the world ready to find an antidote. BOOKIMED. (Head Evgeny Khotyanov. Responsible for the findings of the miracle doctors Oleksii Karahanov.) This is not the first time I apply and I always receive addresses of top-class specialists. They find the best in their field, they know the best doctors in the world. And they found medical athletes for me (medical-sports-physical complex “FIZYOMER” therapist. Under the guidance of Professor Dr. Turkan Tunerir). In Turkey, in the city with the speaking name Eskisehir (еskisehir), the Old City, where even nature awakens the life of organs subject to orthopedists. So: Airport-plane-Airport. And then comfort is everywhere: a meeting - the driver Yelmaz and the manager Melih and Yerzhan. A trip to the city and resettlement. Work with me For many hours a day every day, with warm, responsive hands and mechanisms that revive and lift those who are lying. The masters of therapeutic gymnastics Janan, Hussein and Ibrahim, and translator Golmir tirelessly translating for us and from us. They find the right points, muscles and joints on my body, connect some unprecedented, unheard of mechanisms. And so ... I get up, walk, try to put my stick away. Youth…. And everyone who comes here, according to my observations, receives individually all the necessary and unprecedented support anywhere else. Thanks to the Aesculapius, their smart hands, all the employees of the center. Academician Katsev Alexander

The Head Doctor is a great person with humility and patience to treat his patients well
Please check your facts as the hospital is very expensive for Turkey. However, very good facilities, most staff are committed and know their jobs well. The Head Doctor is a great person with humility and patience to treat his patients well. However, I am not aware of who is behind him and may influence some decisions. The facility should invest and innovate more. There are not enough staff and the patient’s progress suffered as a result. High turnover rate. I am quite surprised that the management team or main representative never once visited my family member, a long-term patient. Some nurses need to be trained as they lack essential customer service skills. Overall, good hospital with quality infrastructure and amenities. In this rehabilitation block, the patient rooms are mostly small and the bed-chair is very uncomfortable for long-term attendants. I would recommend the Hospital of course! We had a good experience despite few setbacks. Most problems were addressed professionally but the truth has to be told. It took some personal time and energy and the quality standards need to be there. We are not dealing with retail but health and you cannot expect your patients not to be demanding when they spend/pay a lot for medical care in Turkey.
Communication and goal sharing. Compassionate and well experienced. Very nice and seems knowledgeable. Speaks English well, problem-solver!
Ratings of hospital services. Recommendations and follow-up with hospital management on patient issues. Most contacts at the hospital are junior staff and problems not solved critically.

FAQ about Rehabilitation with Re-step system in Turkey

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What is the Re-step system and how does it work?

The Re-step system is a computerized gait rehabilitation tool designed to improve mobility after neurological injuries. It uses wearable technology and specialized software to re-educate the brain. The system tracks real-time data to personalize movements, helping patients regain balance and coordination through repetitive interactive therapy.

  • Neuroplasticity focus: Engages the motor cortex through guided movements to re-teach walking patterns.
  • Real-time tracking: Clinicians monitor performance data to adjust exercise difficulty based on objective progress.
  • Weight-bearing support: The exoskeleton-style device guides legs through motions while reducing joint strain.
  • Interactive feedback: Uses visual biofeedback and software games to keep patients engaged during tasks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Turkish centers like Fizyomer Terapia achieve high success rates by starting Re-step within the first 6 months post-injury. Data shows patients typically see gait symmetry improvements in just 3 weeks. Combining this tech with traditional physical therapy creates the most durable results for long-term recovery.

Patient Consensus: Patients report that while the machine provides the framework, active personal effort is essential for real gains. Many felt significantly more confident in their walking stability after completing a 4-week intensive program.

Who can benefit from Re-step rehabilitation?

Re-step rehabilitation benefits patients with neurological or mobility impairments who retain partial motor function. It is most effective for stroke survivors, traumatic brain injury patients, and those recovering from spinal surgery. The system uses motorized soles to retrain the brain for balanced, independent walking.

  • Stroke survivors: Helps regain coordination and motor skills through rhythmic stepping patterns and feedback.
  • Post-surgical patients: Accelerates recovery, helping many ditch walkers within 2 weeks after spinal surgery.
  • Neurological conditions: Assists those with incomplete spinal cord injuries by providing essential body-weight support.
  • Seniors: Improves balance and confidence for elderly patients facing mobility issues or chronic pain.
  • Traumatic brain injuries: Simulates varied terrains to force neural adaptation and improve gait stability.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data from Fizyomer Terapia shows a 98% success rate for stroke and cerebral palsy cases. While many clinics offer standard gait training, those using Re-step specifically target the 20–30 session mark. This volume is the tipping point where patients typically transition from walkers to independent movement.

Patient Consensus: Patients report regained independence on stairs after just 10 sessions. Many find it significantly more helpful for reducing phantom pain compared to traditional physical therapy alone.

Which clinics in Turkey offer Re-step rehabilitation?

Major Turkish facilities providing Re-step robotic gait training include Fizyomer Terapia in Eskisehir, plus Istanbul centers like Memorial Şişli and Medipol Mega. These clinics offer intensive neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation programs using specialized feedback-driven technology to restore natural walking patterns after strokes or injuries.

  • Fizyomer Terapia (Eskişehir): Features 24 years of experience with specialized pediatric and adult intensive programs.
  • Memorial Şişli (Istanbul): JCI-accredited facility providing multi-disciplinary neurorehabilitation for international patients from 167 countries.
  • Medipol Mega (Istanbul): Houses advanced robot-assisted rehabilitation units capable of serving over 1,200 patients daily.
  • Anadolu Medical Center: Affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine, offering elite gait training and structured recovery.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many Istanbul hospitals market robotic gait training, the specific Re-step system is most reliably found in specialized rehabilitation centers like Fizyomer Terapia. Their 98% success rate stems from integrating Re-step with 4-hour daily intensive therapy sessions, which is significantly more rigorous than standard 1-hour sessions at general private hospitals.

Patient Consensus: Patients advise requesting actual photos or videos of the Re-step equipment from the clinic before traveling. This verification ensures you receive the specific robotic feedback system rather than a standard treadmill rehabilitation program.

What are the key advantages of undergoing Re-step therapy in Turkey?

Re-step therapy in Turkey provides advanced neuroplasticity-focused rehabilitation through robotic gait training systems at significantly lower costs than in the US. Patients benefit from JCI-accredited facilities, 98% success rates in specialized centers, and intensive five-day weekly regimens that accelerate recovery for stroke and spinal cord injuries.

  • Cost efficiency: Procedures cost $1,800 to $3,200, saving patients approximately 60% over US averages.
  • Superior technology: Clinics integrate Re-step with Lokomat walking robots and Vector Gait Systems for neuroplasticity.
  • Rapid access: Patients typically start intensive programs within 2 weeks, avoiding 3-month Western wait lists.
  • Clinical excellence: Specialized centers like Fizyomer Terapia report 98% success in cerebral palsy and stroke.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While Istanbul is the primary hub, Eskisehir offers a unique advantage for intensive recovery. Fizyomer Terapia in Eskisehir serves over 10,000 patients annually and has 24 years of experience. Their specialized protocols often combine Re-step with manual therapy, which data suggests delivers faster results than using home-based devices alone.

Patient Consensus: Many patients find that the vacation-like immersion in Turkey significantly improves their motivation and outcomes. They often highlight that full 20-session protocols, including local accommodation, frequently cost less than $2,000 total.

What conditions or disorders are typically treated with the Re-step system in Turkey?

Rehabilitation using the Re-step system in Turkey typically treats neurological and musculoskeletal disorders. These affect gait and balance. Clinics use this computerised technology to help patients with stroke, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis. It also helps patients recover after major spinal or orthopaedic surgery.

  • Neurological conditions: Helps patients with stroke, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's improve walking balance.
  • Paediatric support: Assists children with cerebral palsy in correcting rigid movement and stability.
  • Brain injuries: Supports motor control and coordination for traumatic and non-traumatic brain injuries.
  • Orthopaedic recovery: Restores weight-bearing function after joint replacements, spinal surgeries, or lower-limb trauma.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Clinics like Fizyomer Terapia report a 98% success rate for neurological cases. However, this technology is most effective when paired with stem cell therapy. Specialist Dr. Alireza Soltanzadeh at Estexper Clinic specifically combines Re-step protocols with regenerative treatments. He uses this approach to manage chronic neuropathy and complex spinal cord injuries.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Turkey use this system for diverse mobility issues. These include chronic back pain and long-term functional recovery. Many recommend confirming whether the sessions target pain relief or gait training before booking travel.

What is the Re-step system used in rehabilitation in Turkey?

The Re-step system is a gait-training technology used in Turkish rehabilitation centres. It improves balance and walking ability. It uses computerised mechatronic shoes that change sole height and angles randomly. This forces the brain to adapt to uneven surfaces, stimulating neuroplasticity after strokes or brain injuries.

  • Adaptive technology: Mechatronic shoes create unpredictable terrain to challenge stabilising muscles.
  • Clinical applications: Treats stroke, cerebral palsy, and traumatic brain injury effectively.
  • Intensive packages: Often paired with Lokomat robotics at centres like Fizyomer Terapia.
  • Proven results: Clinics report up to 98% success rates for neurological recovery.
  • Customised therapy: Specialists like Dr. Alireza Soltanzadeh adjust tilt speed for patients.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Turkish centres like Fizyomer Terapia in Eskisehir treat 10,000+ patients annually. They have 24+ years of experience. This high volume allows therapists to fine-tune Re-step settings for complex paediatric cases. Patients often save up to 55% compared to the $5,500 Australian average for intensive neuro-rehab.

Patient Consensus: Patients should ask for a detailed therapy breakdown and verify clinician credentials before booking. They should compare the Re-step programme goals against standard care for realistic recovery outcomes.

Why do international patients choose Turkey for robotic and gait rehabilitation?

International patients choose Turkey for robotic and gait rehabilitation. This gives them intensive, high-tech therapy at significant savings. Leading centres in Istanbul and Eskisehir use Re-step and Lokomat systems. They treat stroke, spinal cord injuries, and cerebral palsy with a 98% success rate.

  • Technology: Clinics use Lokomat robotic-assisted gait training and the Re-step system for neuroplasticity.
  • Cost efficiency: Procedures cost from $1,800 to $3,200, saving patients up to 60%.
  • Integrated care: Treatment bundles robotic therapy with hydrotherapy, occupational therapy, and one-on-one clinician time.
  • Rapid access: Turkish facilities like Fizyomer Terapia offer short-notice appointments for over 10,000 patients annually.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many countries offer robotic rehab, Turkey’s advantage lies in the inpatient package model. Facilities like Memorial Bahçelievler bundle intensive therapy with accommodation. This means patients receive multiple hours of daily treatment. Such treatment is often too costly to sustain in Australia.

Patient Consensus: Patients value the all-in-one destination approach. In this model, intensive therapy, transfers, and lodging are coordinated. The ability to start treatment quickly in Turkey is a major factor. It contributes to serious mobility recovery.

Which leading clinics and hospitals in Turkey offer the Re-step system?

Leading Turkish facilities provide Re-step neurorehabilitation. These include Memorial Şişli Hospital, NP Istanbul Brain Hospital, and Fizyomer Terapia. These JCI-accredited centres use the computerised gait system. It treats stroke, cerebral palsy, and spinal injuries. Specialist rehabilitation helps patients improve balance and walking speed through motor learning.
