How Much Does Stem cell therapy for neuropathy Cost in Turkey?

Stem cell therapy for neuropathy in Turkey typically costs from $4,500 to $7,500 depending on the cell count and number of sessions required. Final pricing depends on the source of the cells, the severity of nerve damage, and the inclusion of post-treatment rehabilitation. In the US, similar procedures cost around $25,000 on average. Turkey offers savings of around 76%. Most packages include specialist consultations, laboratory processing, and VIP transfers.

  • Main treatment course: $4,500 to $7,500 for standard neurological protocols.
  • Cell source premium: Allogeneic donor cells often cost significantly more than autologous cells from the patient.
  • High-count protocols: Specialized packages for 30–50 million cells increase costs but may improve clinical outcomes.
  • Regional hubs: Most accredited treatments are concentrated in Istanbul, with emerging specialized centers in Izmir.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a facility with a dedicated GMP-standard laboratory provides the best value. Liv Hospital Ulus features Turkey's first private hospital-based GMP center, ensuring high-quality cell production. Their premium packages start around $21,000 and include 16 nights of hotel stay. This long-term accommodation is vital for monitoring the patient's response to multiple doses. It often saves patients the logistical stress and extra cost of booking separate lodging.

The surgeon and the medical team were brilliant and explained everything to me, which put me at ease
My biggest concern was the procedure itself and the potential side effects. Fortunately, the surgeon and the medical team were brilliant and explained everything to me, which put me at ease. It has now been 15 days since my umbilical cord stem cell treatment. To be honest, I haven’t noticed any changes yet, which is to be expected at this early stage. There is still some pain when I touch the injection site. I’ve been sticking to the post-treatment restrictions most of the time, and the clinic itself was good but not entirely modern, which is why I’ve given it four stars. Overall, it was a good experience and now I just need to be patient.

May the peace and mercy of God be with you. As a great program, the people who use it are great. The answer is excellent, but the last time was through MC Hospital Türkiye. The translator is a man named Issa. It is very weak in translation and does not translate. Why is this from the words of the doctor? Because the doctor spoke for a long time, and the translation was short, so there was a lot of things. It does not translate for me, and it did not benefit me at all, and the examination didn't help, doctor

Overall, a great experience!!
I was very skeptical doing this and especially in another country. The staff did a great job with getting everything lined up. Dr. Gurkan was great, all staff was very good and attentive. I would just ask for a little more information on the process and the timeline for treatments to work, etc. Overall, a great experience!!
Everything was ready when we got there. Great hotel. Staff was great.
Language barrier was a little difficult. I would have preferred one assistant the entire time and not so many. Little better communication and information beforehand as to process and procedures.
About Bookimed service
I never knew who I was communicating with. Change in pricing agreement was difficult. Had to pay extra for treatment and TDCS therapy which was agreed to in our original discussions.

  • Full-service packages: Bundles often include 16 nights hotel stay, VIP transfers, and multiple stem cell doses.
  • Regulatory oversight: Facilities maintain JCI and ISO certifications, serving patients from over 180 countries.
  • Direct access: Patients from Australia report faster scheduling without the bureaucratic hurdles of home systems.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many centres offer single-dose treatments. However, high-volume Turkish clinics typically provide multi-dose protocols of 2 or 3 injections. This approach allows specialists to monitor patient response over 16 days. Inclusive hotel accommodation is usually provided. This extended stay allows for better monitoring than short-term fly-in appointments.

Patient Consensus: Australians often choose Turkey when local options are exhausted. They value how clinics bundle airport pickups, interpreters, and transfers. Patients recommend verifying exact cell counts and laboratory sterility protocols before booking any therapy.

How does stem cell therapy work to treat neuropathy?

Stem cell therapy for neuropathy repairs damaged nerves. It uses mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) to regenerate tissue and reduce inflammation. These cells release growth factors that support myelin sheath repair and improve blood flow. This helps restore nerve function in diabetic or traumatic peripheral neuropathy.

  • Regenerative action: Mesenchymal stem cells differentiate into supportive cells to repair the protective nerve myelin sheath.
  • Anti-inflammatory effect: Cells modulate the immune system to reduce chronic inflammation that causes nerve pain.
  • Growth factor release: Treatments stimulate new blood vessel growth to provide oxygen and nutrients to nerves.
  • Quality standards: Clinics such as Liv Hospital Ulus use GMP-produced cells for high lab standards.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While many centres offer standard injections, Bookimed data shows that premium Turkish packages often include multiple doses. These packages typically include two to three doses rather than a single application. Clinics like You Clinic report success rates up to 95% by using these intensive protocols with neurological support.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Turkey find that treatments focus on pain relief. They see functional improvement through supportive growth factors. They recommend asking for objective nerve conduction studies to track progress and checking the specific cell source used.

How are stem cells administered during neuropathy treatment in Turkey?

Neuropathy treatment in Turkey typically involves intravenous infusion or targeted injections of mesenchymal stem cells. These are derived from bone marrow or adipose tissue. Specialists at JCI-accredited centres like Liv Hospital Ulus use multi-dose regimens. This usually involves two to three doses during a clinical hospital stay.

  • Administration routes: Methods include intravenous infusion for systemic repair or localised injections near damaged nerves.
  • Clinical protocols: Doctors like Erdal Karaöz apply multi-day regimens involving two or three separate cellular doses.
  • Cell processing: Lab directors such as Selçuk Duman oversee closed-system separation of GMP-produced mesenchymal cells.
  • Comprehensive testing: Treatment includes preoperative blood tests, paediatric or anaesthesia consultations, and vitamin infusions.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Many international clinics offer single-session treatments. However, Turkish centres often bundle 16-day hotel stays. This allows for a multi-dose protocol where cells are administered several days apart. Data shows this timeframe supports better monitoring and integration of the therapy.

Patient Consensus: Patients find that administration methods vary by clinic in Turkey. Getting a written plan for IV or local delivery helps to confirm the dose count. This ensures a smoother experience.

What are the expected results for nerve recovery when undergoing stem cell therapy in Turkey?

Nerve recovery after stem cell therapy in Turkey typically leads to moderate functional improvements rather than a complete cure. Patients often report reduced pain and sensory changes starting around 3 months. Motor benefits for severe injuries can take up to 36 months. Clinical outcomes depend on injury severity and the use of GMP-certified mesenchymal stem cells.

  • Response rates: Studies show 3 out of 10 spinal patients achieve significant sensory or motor recovery.
  • Clinical transitions: Some patients move from complete functional loss to incomplete injury with regained sensation.
  • Symptom relief: Patients frequently experience reduced tingling, numbness, and improved daily use of hands.
  • Standard protocols: Leading centres like Liv Hospital Ulus use 2 or 3-dose regimens of MSCs.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data shows a major difference between basic therapy and premium packages. Top clinics like You Clinic claim a 95% success rate for specific neurological conditions using cell isolation. Premium packages often include 16-night hotel stays. These stays allow for monitoring during the initial recovery phase.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Turkey report symptom relief like reduced numbness. However, many suggest viewing results as gradual improvements rather than a guaranteed cure. They recommend clarifying success markers, such as mobility gains or nerve test changes, before starting treatment.
