My surgeon was very direct about both, clearly explaining the realistic results, the swelling timeline, and exactly where the incisions for my full neck lift would be placed behind the ears. This honesty was appreciated. The procedure was done under general anesthesia, and I’m feeling better than expected this early on. The clinic’s support has been solid; they gave me a clear aftercare guide and have been easy to reach with questions. It was also a relief that there were no additional expenses on top of the quoted price.

The procedure covered my full face and neck, and while it's still too early to tell what the final outcome will be, the support has been good. The staff are always easy to reach. I also appreciated that there were no additional expenses. My main advice would be to arrive a day before your operation for the consultation with your doctor, and make sure to tell them what you eat.
Everything went excellently with the coordinator. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Dr Paysal, who was my surgeon, was kind and knowledgeable.
The staff's English could have been better. The food served was the same for lunch and dinner for two days — chicken and rice. I told them I was vegetarian, but was still served chicken and rice for lunch and dinner.
If you’re considering a deep SMAS facelift, my main piece of advice is to take great care when choosing the clinic itself. Personally, I was very impressed by the doctor and the staff. Before the operation, the surgeon marked out the incision lines and examined me personally afterwards. The coordinator was also in constant contact. My operation involved the neck and lower face, plus lipofilling under general anaesthetic. At the moment, I feel pretty much as I expected. There were no additional costs. However, my overall impression of the clinic is average, which is why my overall rating isn’t very high. So my main advice to future patients is to find out more about the clinic in detail!
The coordinator was always available. No bruising at all – it’s even a bit suspicious; I’m not sure what treatment I actually had. Perhaps it was SMAS rather than deep plane.
The consultation with the doctor took place in his office, not at the clinic! The operation was carried out at the old city hospital! The doctor said very little about the operation, and particularly about the risks! There were far more incisions and stitches than had been agreed during the consultation!

For anyone considering a neck lift, here’s my balanced take. The surgeon and medical staff were very good, and I’m happy I went with the deep plane technique. The best part is seeing my neck bands gone already. That's a big win. However, the clinic itself was a real letdown and didn't match the quality of the medical team, which is why I can't give a higher overall rating. Recovery is a process; my neck feels comfortably snug and my incisions are still quite red, while the constant compression garment has been the most challenging part. It's a complex recommendation because the surgical care was solid but the facility was not.

Providing a speedy response to relatives when procedures take considerably longer than anticipated (8hrs versus 3hrs projected). Understanding the anxiety caused by the extra time taken and making it a priority to communicate to relatives waiting for updates.
Unfortunately, my experience was a huge disappointment. Although my procedure was a traditional platysmaplasty, I am dissatisfied with the work of the surgeon and the clinic as a whole. The staff did their best, which was a small ray of hope, but that couldn’t make up for the fundamental shortcomings. Recovery is difficult. So far, dealing with the compression garments has by far been the hardest part of the whole process, making it even more unpleasant. All in all, a very sobering experience for me.

The bruising visibility has definitely been the most challenging part, and my under eyes is still quite puffy (fat transplant). Despite that, the improvement in my jowls is already dramatic. My neck feels slightly tight when I turn my head, but it's okay. The surgeon and staff were excellent. My most essential tip is to be prepared: recovery really does require time and patience, plus a lot of help from a friend or partner. Sticking to soups, fruits, and veggies instead of hard food has been a huge help.

My biggest worry beforehand was about scarring and the recovery process. I'm relieved to say my incisions are already well-hidden behind my ears. The surgeon performed a deep plane lift, and the result so far is a jawline with noticeable new definition. My neck feels comfortably snug, not painfully tight. The hardest part of recovery has been sleeping elevated, which is to be expected but still challenging. Overall, the process with the clinic and staff was very straightforward. My one tip for others would be to prepare your kitchen in advance: get soft foods and melons, fresh fruits or steam-able vegetables like carrots. You'll want to take small bites at first.
The surgery had to be delayed because I was not feeling well right after arriving at my hotel. I came from outside Mexico for the procedure. We were able to do it a week later, and I stayed extra days for the reschedule.
The staff is great and very personable. On the phone I spoke to and messaged the Doctor's personal assistant, and he speaks and writes great English. On the day of surgery, I stayed overnight following the procedure, and my night nurse had her phone set up so we could speak, translating questions, answers, and instructions back and forth. The dinner was beverages, yogurt, freshly made grilled chicken with steamed vegetables, the morning breakfast was eggs, yogurt with melon for breakfast. I stayed in a private room.
I saw Dr. Aguilera right after I was prepped for surgery by the anesthesiologist and two nurses, who introduced themselves. Dr. Aguilera met me in the operating room, before I was given the final dose of sleeping medication, and was the first person I saw, still in the operating room, when emerging from anesthesia.
The following day, the doctor checked my sutures and gave me some advice about what to do and not to do, the following day. He was satisfied with my recovery, so my head and neck were wrapped up for the Uber ride back to my hotel apartment.
We had a stove, microwave, dishes and a full refrigerator in the room where we were staying. This is so convenient for gel packs, fresh foods and juices. I felt extremely comfortable traveling home on a three-hour flight, 10 days after the operation. Based on my experience, Plan fourteen days, giving yourselves an opportunity to settle in will make for a much more gratifying experience. Mexico City is quite easy to travel around, and since it is high altitude, the best way to adjust is to see the city or neighborhood you live in as you prepare for your procedure.

The internet reception is not good on the sidewalk in front of the building, probably due to the other tall buildings. Just make sure you have made any arrangements for pick-up in the office where the wi-fi is.
My biggest surprise is the lack of results. Although I am only just beginning my recovery, my skin is already much looser than I expected after such a procedure. The hardest part so far has been the visibility of the bruises, which were very extensive. I have to admit: the staff were decent. However, communication with the surgeon was virtually non-existent, to the extent that I’m not even sure which technique was used. The clinic’s overall organisation was also poor. I would absolutely not recommend this clinic.
Looking in the mirror two weeks later is still quite jarring. I expected a quicker turnaround, but at 15 days post-op, there is simply too much swelling to tell how my eyes actually look when I smile. My surgeon performed a traditional incision on my upper eyelids, and the cut lines remain very red and obvious against my skin. While the medical staff were generally helpful, the clinic environment itself didn't quite meet the standard I anticipated for the price. Recovery is slow. It is difficult to stay objective when the results are hidden under such heavy inflammation. I would advise others to brace for the fact that the early recovery phase feels much longer than the brochures suggest.

I am very pleased I went through Bookimed to book my necklift surgery. Confidence, my assigned medical co-ordinator was excellent. She answered every question I had and I had lots of them. She did her best to make sure all my needs were met.
Dr. Gürhan Özcan is truly a professor and I was lucky I got him to perform my surgery. Along with his expertise, he is also kind and very caring. I even asked him on the spur of the moment to do a temporal brow lift together with the necklift. I will be forever grateful that he did, as I am 100% happy with the results.

My medical co-ordinator was always just a quick text message away and answered any and all of my queries quickly and professionally. I settled on a particular surgeon, hospital, hotel and price. I paid the required deposit and flew out to Istanbul on the agreed date. As promised, I was met at the airport and taken by car to the hotel, signed in and shown to my room. The next day as arranged, I was picked up from the hotel and taken to Hisar Hospital Intercontinental for the pre-op tests and met with my surgeon to discuss and go over everything. The interpreter was always on hand to help with any language problems. The surgeon was very nice, professional and informative. About 30 mins after paying the outstanding balance I was told there seemed to be a problem regarding the cost of the procedure I was having. The upshot was, they expected me to pay 1500 euro on top of the agreed sum of 5000 euro which I'd already paid. Even though I provided copies of the text messages which outlined what was included in the procedure. I was shown into an office where it was made clear that if I didn't pay this extra sum, there would be no operation. I managed to get the sum reduced to 500 euro, but felt I had been forced/tricked/mugged into handing over more money than was agreed with Bookimed. The hospital blamed Bookimed, saying they should have been more explicit in their description of what's included in that particular procedure, even though one of the messages from the surgeon outlined the exact details of the procedure! I am disgusted at how I was treated and expect something to be done about it. I do want to point out that my treatment from the hospital nursing staff and my surgeon was wonderful, but be it the fault of the hospital admin department or Bookimed, this type of thing like this needs to be rectified. I won't ever use or recommend either establishment again.

My Experience at Dr. Med’ Clinic
The team was absolutely wonderful. The surgery went smoothly, and I’m truly grateful to Dr. Yunus, all the clinic staff, and especially Dr. Yunus and Akylay. Everything was organized professionally, with care and efficiency.
I underwent a deep plane facelift and neck lift, as well as upper and lower blepharoplasty. Overall, I am very satisfied with both the results and the service.
My only suggestion would be this: for such major plastic surgeries, the patient should ideally stay at the clinic for at least 3 days under medical supervision. This is essential for proper recovery and peace of mind.
Also, I would prefer that Dr. Yunus personally performs the bondage changes, as he does them best — and it noticeably speeds up the healing process.
Aside from that, everything was top-notch: the team is responsive, caring, and highly professional. Thank you all for your care and excellent work!
I really appreciated the staff’s efficiency — their ability to respond quickly to my needs, react promptly to my messages, and show genuine care, empathy, and commitment to my smooth recovery and overall experience.
What I didn’t like was that the consultation took place on the same day we arrived. It was exhausting, as we were sleep-deprived, tired, and unable to fully process the information the doctor was giving us. It was an unpleasant experience.
We had booked our flight based on a recommendation from the Doctor-Med clinic’s sales department.
Another thing that disappointed us was being hospitalized for only one day — we had to extend the stay ourselves for the second day.
I strongly believe that after such serious surgeries, the patient should be hospitalized for at least two days for proper medical supervision and recovery.
There is very weak communication gap between the Doctor and no explanation of the procedure. The clinic should in detail the procedures they will be performing. It would be better if possible to show a before and after video presented to the patient so that the patient can easily see what is going on.
I didn't like the neck lift done. I am concerned. One thing the neck lift was supposed to be minor bur for some reason my ears are also effected. I have two big lumps on either side of my ears and I have extra skin where I didn't have before..
