How Much Does Arm lift (brachioplasty) Cost in Thailand?

Arm lift (brachioplasty) in Thailand typically costs from $2,400 / ฿81,600 to $3,800 / ฿129,200. The final price depends on the surgical technique, the extent of tissue removal, and the clinic location. Patients save around 72% compared to the US, where the average price is $11,000 / ฿374,000. Packages in Thailand frequently include surgeon fees, anesthesia, hospital stays, and post-operative compression garments.

  • Surgical technique: Standard brachioplasty often costs about 15-20% more than a mini arm lift.
  • Hospital accommodation: Premium packages in Bangkok often include 1-2 nights of 5-star hospital stay.
  • Geographic location: Prices in medical hubs like Bangkok and Phuket are generally the most competitive.
  • Anesthesia fees: Full brachioplasty requires general anesthesia, which is typically bundled into the package.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a JCI-accredited facility in Bangkok provides the best balance of safety and value. For example, ID Clinic Bangkok offers packages around $2,700 for surgeons with 20,000+ procedures. Larger hospitals like Yanhee International Hospital or Asia Cosmetic Hospital provide 24/7 care with hundreds of beds. These top-tier clinics often include compression garments and local transfers to streamline the experience.

I chose not to use the services at all. I was working with book med for months looked at the pictures of the hospital, but when I got there and actually saw the hospital, it was dirty. The room where you take. The pictures looks dirty unorganized so what would the operating room look like? I pay the consultant fee, but the doctor never touched me. Never put his hands on me. Just looked at my pictures and I'm in the room so you need to fix that.
About Bookimed service
Tiffany and Whitington, the coordinators were fine. Got all the information. It was the dirtiness of the hospital and the unprofessionalism of the doctor. He looks sloppy like he didn't have time like I said before he never even touched me so I paid a consultation fee for a conversation about nothing, not happy

Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care
Monsplaty, Tummy Tuck and 360 Liposuction. My biggest concern going into this was what the recovery would actually feel like. It's not easy. The most challenging part has definitely been the constant tight feeling, which is something to be prepared for. My surgeon used a combination of liposuction and excision. Right now there is still some swelling, so it’s too early to know how my clothes will fit differently in the end. Despite the discomfort, the clinic, the staff, and my surgeon were all fantastic and provided great care. It was a professional and supportive environment, and I'm glad I made the choice to go there.
Very clean, very inviting. After care was good too. Everything was quick and easy. Communication via whatsapp made things easier as well. I travelled solo and the staff helped that little extra.
After surgery garments are not forgiving for us longer torso people. They were a bit short which added a lil discomfort when it rolled at the back. Other than that everything was really good.

Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected
Seeing the surgical site for the first time was the moment everything finally felt real. Even at just 15 days post-op, the initial aspect is already better than expected. We used the penile inversion technique, and while the results look promising, the recovery requires a lot of patience and steady commitment to the healing process. My biggest challenge at this stage is definitely the physical discomfort of being seated for a long time. It is a process. The clinic staff has been very attentive during my stay, and I am expecting to have the catheter removed very soon. To anyone else preparing for this surgery, it’s not easy but it is a good experience overall.

I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic
My biggest worry was how the results would actually look and feel afterward. Now that I'm in the early stages of recovery from the fat transfer graft, I can say the outcome is positive. The girth is already noticeably thicker. Everything is still slightly numb, as expected, but the visual change is definitely there. The surgeon and the entire staff were professional and clear with all information, which helped manage my concerns from the beginning. It's a relief. Based on the care I received and the initial results, I'm confident in my choice and would recommend this clinic.

The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all
My biggest fear was the recovery, and it’s certainly a process that requires patience. The entire staff and my surgeon were great and supportive through it all. Right now, my chin is still very swollen, so I can't properly see the projection from the large, solid silicone implant yet. The numbness has been the hardest part. My lower lip feels slightly numb, which has made eating the biggest challenge so far. It’s a strange sensation. Despite the temporary side effects of healing, the care I received was solid and I would recommend this clinic.
Really loved the stuff they were very cute and helpful

My breathing is now even better than before
My biggest concern was that the result might look unnatural or that my breathing might be affected. Neither of these things happened. In fact, my breathing is now even better than before. During the open rhinoplasty, a small bump was removed and the bridge of my nose is now, even so soon after the procedure, already straighter, just as I wanted. In addition, the tip of my nose already looks much more defined. The staff and the surgeon were consistently supportive and answered all my questions patiently, which gave me a great deal of reassurance. I felt I was in good hands.

The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations
Waking up, I felt groggy but managed. The clinic staff were competent, and the surgeon was clear in our consultations. The incision was placed under the breast, which is what I wanted. I am still in the early recovery phase, and it has its challenges. My pain has lessened to a mild discomfort, but sleeping through the night is difficult, and my nipples are uncomfortably hypersensitive. Overall, the medical care was solid, though the recovery process itself is demanding. It’s a serious undertaking.
Coordinator was very nice keeping in touch before and after the surgery and the doctor and nurses were very nice

The surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant
I was really worried about the recovery period, and the truth is it hasn’t been as easy as I expected. My stomach is still swollen, and the compression garments are still tight, but the hardest part so far has been dealing with the annoying numb patches. That said, the surgeon and the whole medical team have been absolutely brilliant. The doctor explained to me that he used ultrasound technology (VASER) and removed between 3 and 4 litres of fat, and I felt I was in safe hands with them. Unfortunately, the clinic’s facilities weren’t up to the same standard as the quality of medical care, which is why I’ve given it a lower rating. Overall, I’m optimistic about the final result.
The medical and nursing staff are truly exceptional
The clinic generally needs more space

My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5
If you're considering a tummy tuck, know that the recovery is a real process. My surgeon was excellent, a definite 5/5. He performed a full tuck and repositioned my belly button, and everything already feels very tight, which is good. My biggest challenge right now is the compression garment; it's just a constant presence. While the surgeon was fantastic, there were some minor organizational points with the clinic and staff that could have been smoother. It's still too early to see the final flat result with all the healing left to do, but I feel confident in my choice. I would give this clinic a 9/10 recommendation to a friend.
The doctor he is excellent .soft spoken ,attentive and a great surgeon.
Rooms could be bigger so that attendant could stay at night. They have a reclining sofa not suitable for night sleeping. Front desk managers could be more attentive to every detail.

The surgeon and the staff were fantastic from start to finish
My biggest worry was whether I'd see a real difference after having Vaser on multiple areas, especially since they removed over four liters. It’s still early, but the swelling is much less now, and I can definitely see subtle changes taking shape. The surgeon and the staff were fantastic from start to finish. They are a solid team. The main challenge for me is just the compression garment making my skin itchy, but that's part of recovery. While the clinic facilities were generally fine, they weren't on the same level as the medical care itself. It's a process. Overall, I feel this was a worthwhile decision.
Almost 2 weeks post-lipo with Dr. Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul at ID Clinic. The bruising is fading and my clothes are fitting so much better already. My abdomen feels tighter, waist more defined, and inner thighs no longer rubbing as much when I walk. So happy I took this step for myself.

The initial appearance is honestly better than expected, even with all the healing that’s still to come
The initial appearance is honestly better than expected, even with all the healing that’s still to come. Seeing that was a huge relief. The surgeon and staff provided great support, making me feel secure from the start. Recovery is no joke. It was a positive step when the catheter was removed, but managing the dilation sessions has been very challenging. My biggest concern is the swelling, and I'm focused on trusting the process. The care and the surgical foundation are solid, which is why I'm rating everything positively.
Everything was perfect. The staff were kind, professional, and very supportive throughout the whole process. The doctor explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable and cared for. The clinic was clean, organized, and exceeded my expectations. I’m very happy with my experience and grateful for the excellent care I received.
Nothing to complain about. Everything went smoothly and I was satisfied with the overall experience.

I can already see the lifted shape has great projection, which is what I was hoping for
My biggest concern going into this was ending up with a shape that looked strange or unnatural. It's a big decision. I'm still very early in my recovery, but I can already see the lifted shape has great projection, which is what I was hoping for. The surgeon and I decided on Motiva implants. The clinic staff and my surgeon were consistently professional and clear in their communication. The most difficult part for me right now is the significant implant tightness across my chest; it's a persistent discomfort you should be prepared for. It's a process. But the surgical work and care were very good.
I had my surgery at this clinic and I’m honestly very happy with the whole experience. From the first consultation to aftercare, everything was handled professionally and smoothly. The team was incredibly supportive and made me feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. A special thank you to the nurse for being so caring, kind, and attentive — it really made a big difference during my recovery. The results have exceeded my expectations, and I truly appreciate the effort and care from the entire team. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone considering surgery.

My biggest worry going into this was the quality of post-operative care, and that's where things fell short. While the surgeon's work was professional, the support from the clinic staff felt disorganized and was a source of stress during a vulnerable time. The clinic itself could also be improved. It’s a very mixed feeling. I can’t judge the aesthetic outcome yet because everything is still far too swollen to see clearly. On a positive note, getting the catheter removed was a definite relief and a good milestone. The medical part was handled, but the care aspect was lacking.
Language was a problem. Food was horrible, no attempt to take into account cultural differences. Had to wait over an hour for scheduled appointments. Minimal care by all. I would not recommend Wansiri Hospital to any of my friends. Staff would not reach out to my wife, when requested, to resolve problems.

I can honestly say the initial appearance is better than expected
My biggest worry was what the final result would look like. I can honestly say the initial appearance is better than expected. The surgeon used the penile inversion technique, and both the surgeon and the staff have been excellent. Recovery is, of course, a challenge. The catheter is manageable with proper care, and I am following the dilation schedule as instructed, but sitting for long periods is currently very difficult. It’s a real process. For anyone else getting ready for this, my advice is to be calm ☺️ and be happy for the wonderful physical change coming your way!

FAQ about Arm lift (brachioplasty) in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

How do I choose the best arm-lift surgeon in Thailand?

Choosing the best arm-lift surgeon in Thailand requires verifying board certification by the Thai Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Top surgeons hold international memberships in ISAPS or ASPS. Prioritize surgeons operating in JCI-accredited hospitals to ensure high safety standards and reliable procedural results.

  • Specialist credentials: Look for Thai Board of Plastic Surgery certification for verified expertise.
  • International training: Many leading surgeons trained in the USA, South Korea, or Taiwan.
  • Procedural volume: Dr. Tanongsak Panyawirunroj has performed over 15,000 surgeries at Asia Cosmetic Hospital.
  • Facility accreditation: Select clinics with Joint Commission International (JCI) or ISO accreditation for safety.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data shows Thai surgeons often possess dual or triple board certifications. For example, Dr. Kanit Wittayavanichai at MAXi Cosmetic Surgery is board-certified in plastic surgery, general surgery, and family medicine. This multi-specialty background is a significant advantage for complex body contouring like brachioplasty, as it combines aesthetic skill with deep anatomical knowledge.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize reviewing portfolios specifically for arm-lift cases rather than general body work. Many note that surgeons in Thailand excel at combining arm lifts with liposuction for better contouring. Practical experiences suggest that visiting the clinic in person helps verify staff attentiveness and hygiene standards.

Who are some of the top-rated arm-lift surgeons currently practicing in Thailand?

Top-rated arm lift surgeons in Thailand are centered in Bangkok and hold certification from the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand. These specialists typically have 20+ years of experience and international training in South Korea or the USA. They excel in advanced body contouring at JCI-accredited facilities.

  • Dr. Tanongsak Panyawirunroj: Performed 15,000+ operations at Asia Cosmetic Hospital with fellowships in Taiwan and South Korea.
  • Dr. Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul: Performed 20,000+ treatments at ID Clinic Bangkok focusing on natural-looking brachioplasty results.
  • Dr. Saran Wannachamras: CEO at Wansiri Hospital and US-trained plastic surgeon from East Virginia Medical School.
  • Dr. Kanit Wittayavanichai: Plastic surgery professor at Thammasat University with 20+ years in complex body contouring.

Bookimed Expert Insight: A notable trend among elite Thai surgeons is the integration of reconstructive backgrounds with cosmetic expertise. For example, Dr. Tanongsak Panyawirunroj at Asia Cosmetic Hospital and Dr. Saran Wannachamras at Wansiri Hospital both hold specialized diplomas in reconstructive or clinical surgery. This dual focus allows them to manage skin elasticity and underlying tissue precisely during arm lifts.

Patient Consensus: Patients note that Thai surgeons take time to explain exactly how they will hide the scars. Many were surprised by the high comfort level at the clinics and the helpfulness of the medical staff. Those who traveled to Bangkok say they felt well cared for during the entire recovery process.

What qualifications should I look for in a Thai brachioplasty surgeon?

Qualified Thai brachioplasty surgeons should hold Thai Board of Plastic Surgery certification. Look for specialists with international fellowships and memberships in global bodies like the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). Top doctors often train in the USA, Australia, or South Korea to master advanced body contouring techniques.

  • Board certification: Ensure the surgeon is a Diplomate of the Thai Board of Plastic Surgery.
  • International memberships: Membership in ISAPS or ASPS indicates adherence to global aesthetic surgery standards.
  • Procedural experience: Review portfolios of past cases to evaluate scar placement and skin tension results.
  • Facility accreditation: Surgeons should operate in hospitals with JCI accreditation to ensure patient safety.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data shows Thai surgeons often have background training in microsurgery or hand surgery, which is vital for brachioplasty. For example, Dr. Pramote Manurangsee and Dr. Jiraroch Meevassana completed specialized microsurgery courses. This expertise allows for more precise tissue handling and better preservation of nerves and vessels during significant skin removal.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize the need to see clear, close-up photos of surgical scars before booking. Many note that video consultations helped them feel more confident about the surgical plan. They frequently mention that experienced surgeons are honest about expected results after massive weight loss.

How should I prepare for a consultation with a Thai arm-lift surgeon?

Prepare by documenting your medical history and defining clear aesthetic goals for arm contouring. Research surgeons with international credentials and board certifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand. Bring reference photos to discuss realistic results and scar placement with your chosen specialist during the meeting.

  • Medical documentation: List all prescriptions and note previous surgeries involving anesthesia for safety.
  • Aesthetic goals: Identify areas of excess skin and discuss scar trade-offs for tighter contours.
  • Credential verification: Focus on surgeons with ISAPS membership or ASPS international status for expertise.
  • Technique discussion: Ask about specific methods like liposuction combined with traditional skin excision.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai surgeons often combine extensive experience with specialized international training to handle complex cases. For example, Dr. Tanongsak Panyawirunroj has performed over 15,000 operations, while Dr. Phatcharasak Kraisornphongsakul has completed over 20,000 procedures. This high individual volume means surgeons frequently manage diverse patient needs with refined precision.

Patient Consensus: Patients note that arriving with a list of questions makes the session much more productive. They felt more confident after seeing private before-and-after portfolios that matched their specific body type. Many were surprised by how helpful clinic coordinators were with travel documents and airport logistics.

Do Thai surgeons offer language support or translators during consultations and surgery?

Thai surgeons provide robust language support through in-house translators and multilingual medical staff. Most leading specialists hold international certifications from organizations like ISAPS or ASPS.
