All in all was very impressed
During my consultation, the surgeon and I discussed what results would best suit my specific facial symmetry. This set the tone for the entire process. I didn't have any expectations and all in all was very impressed. I went alone which can make one feel more vulnerable but I was well taken care of and extended a lot of grace for my forgetfulness. My procedure was on both upper eyelids, and while it's too early to tell the final outcome, I can confirm there were no additional expenses. Everything was clear. I breath perfectly now after surgery and my nose is a lot straighter
I felt very secure and taken care of through the entire experience. All of my inquiries were answered very promptly by both the bookiemed coordinator, the assistant, and my doctor (Dr. C Altindąg), is very experienced and talked me through what to expect and analyzed my nose very thoroughly.
I breath perfectly now after surgery and my nose is a lot straighter (I had a severe deviated septum and other complications from a past surgery that he identified and corrected including a mirgrated graft and a droopy tip). I'm still quite swollen but look forward to seeing final results in a few months.

If you're thinking about this, my main piece of advice is to be mentally ready for the procedure, as it can be overwhelming. I’m in early recovery from my breast reduction and lift, and I am feeling better than expected. My surgeon was great; he was honest about what results were realistic for my body and clearly explained all the risks, which gave me confidence. The clinic team was easy to reach and stayed in touch. Do be aware of some additional expenses – I had a prescription that cost extra at the pharmacy. A few practical tips: bring a spare compression garment, cotton t-shirts to wear underneath it, and your own snacks. Also, having my mum with me has been pivotal to my recovery, so I'd suggest bringing a companion if you can.
The co-ordinator at Bookimed, Winnington was brilliant. No matter how many questions I had he was able to answer them promptly and with one small hiccup from the hospital Winnington went out of his way to try and package a new procedure for me. My co-ordinator Eyyub at Optimed hospital was outstanding. The hospital was great, the staff on my floor were fantastic. We used goggle translate when the co-ordinator wasn’t with us if we came up against a language barrier but that was not very often. I was cared for before and after my surgery by the nursing staff who could not do enough for myself and my mum. I 10000000% recommend Bookimed & Optimed hospital
Post op instructions could be better. I have suggested to them to put together a general guide of what to do and not to do and for however long. What’s normal and if something doesn’t feel right who to contact etc. I think this will greatly help international patients and help the hospital co-ordinators from being hounded with a load of questions from several patients all at once. Peace of mind for the patient and a little more support for the co-ordinator.
The food is catered for Turkish patients and can be hard for international patients to eat. Again, I have suggested to them to try having a small box of fibrous cereal available at breakfast time and instead of a full meal at lunch time something simple like sandwiches or rolls/bagels/baked goods. Dinner was usually ok and we were able to eat most of that but our daytime diet is a little less than they were providing and there was a lot of food waste which they could minimise & use the money elsewhere if there was a cater to international patients diets.

I could not recommend highly enough
I've been so pleased with my experience from start to finish; I never thought my results from the extended tummy tuck, arm lift and upper arm liposuction could be this good. My recovery is going much better than I expected. They did find a hernia pre-op, which was an additional expense, but it was explained clearly before we proceeded with how to rectify the issue. The clinic's aftercare support has been great, as they've stayed in touch and are easy to reach. My advice is to ask every question about procedure, pain, scars, and recovery timelines so you feel comfortable. I could not recommend highly enough.

The surgeon and the clinic itself were excellent
The possibility of breathing issues was my primary concern going into this. And honestly, that has been the biggest challenge in recovery so far, with one nostril constantly feeling stuffed. My surgeon performed a closed rhinoplasty. Everything is still very swollen along the bridge, but I can already see that my nose tip appears more refined, which is a great sign. The surgeon and the clinic itself were excellent. The general staff were great, though post-op instructions could have been a bit more explicit. I'm satisfied with the medical care I received so far

I'm feeling better than I expected to at this point in recovery. It was a big decision. My research was extensive, and I can confirm the surgeon, Dr. Ibrahim, is professional. He took the time to clearly explain how the AMS (Boston Scientific) device functions, which was a critical part of my decision-making process. I liked everything overall. Initially, I was very afraid, starting with the flight to another country, the transfer to the hotel and the operation itself. From the bottom of my heart, I thank everyone. Memorial Hospital is not a hospital, it is a home where staff members look after a patient with a warm heart. My mommy makeover included a tummy tuck, breast work, and liposuction on two areas, and it was important that Dr. Demir personally checked on me after the surgery. The only thing that could be better is if nurses spoke more English, especially for post-op care. The clinic is easy to reach. I am very grateful.

All the staff members made me feel very comfortable. As I traveled on my own, I felt well cared for and looked after in the clinic, and the included hotel was basic but nice. The procedure went well. I was initially a bit unsure about the schedule for my follow-up appointments, but the team checked on me daily through WhatsApp, which was reassuring. My surgeon explained why the transconjunctival technique, leaving no visible scar, was the right choice for me, and the surgery was performed under local anesthesia with sedation. So far, my recovery is going about as expected. One piece of advice: bring a V-pillow. The clinic only mentioned I'd need to sleep upright on the day, and having one made my hotel stay much more comfortable.

To say that I was shocked by the doctor's approach to treatment is to say nothing. My impressions to you, just do not wish to experience. The operation was agreed in advance counselling and my wishes. The day of the operation came.
In the morning I was picked up from the hotel and with an interpreter, I went through all the analyses. On the question when I will have a meeting with the doctor I was told at 9 am then I pointed out that I am allergic to one drug. But they wouldn't give me any medication before the operation without the doctor's consent. When I was already changed clothes for the operation ( I apologise myself in underwear, in an operating gown ) came the doctor and began to explain to me on his hands that it can not be like this, as I want and he sees it all differently. He began to explain to me with his fingers how it will be. Interrupting the interpreter. The interpreter couldn't keep up with the translation. Hurrying me to make a decision. I replied that I couldn't make a decision without seeing any pictures of what was waiting for me. Then after about an hour of dialogue, the doctor corrected the curvature of my nose on the telephoto in front of me and said here's what awaits you and covered the tip of my nose with his hand. Again we heard my refusal, to which I was told there is no time and I have to make a decision. They told me there was no time and I had to make a decision. My wishes were ignored. What was agreed upon before the operation was changed. My wishes were to correct the curvature and to change and reduce the tip of the nose. The result of the operation is that the curvature was not corrected and the septum remained the same. But the cartilage was grown on the side, which I did not ask for at all, and the nose was visually enlarged and the tip was corrected. Now I'm just shocked with my appearance to say the least. Everything was done at the discretion of the doctor. He ignored all my wishes. Putting me in front of the fact. Without showing me a single photo of what's in store for me. Explaining it to me on my fingers.

The single positive aspect of this entire process was the staff. They were wonderful. Unfortunately, my experience with the surgeon and the clinic itself was profoundly disappointing, and I'm very concerned with how my otoplasty recovery is going so far. The gap between the supportive staff and the actual medical treatment I received is hard to understand. The facility did not meet my expectations for a medical setting in any capacity. Based on this, I would absolutely not recommend this clinic to anyone considering a similar procedure.
Do not go with bookimed.com. I didn’t liked from the moment when I arrived to airport anyone wasn’t there to pick me up, you know when you arrive any place you have no internet and you can’t make any phone calls or text so night mares already start.
