If you're considering a mommy makeover, my biggest piece of advice would be to find a team you feel completely comfortable with. That’s what I found here. The surgeon and staff were excellent throughout my tummy tuck, breast augmentation, and liposuction journey. I'm still in the early stages of recovery, and while standing up straight is a real challenge, my tummy tuck incision is already healing very cleanly. Things are going well. The support from everyone at the clinic has been consistent and reassuring, which has made all the difference in this process.
The whole experience was seamless. The doctors, nurses and interpreter made the process so simple for me.
The food at the hospital wasn’t great. I had said I was vegetarian but there was meat in pretty much all meals.

Recovery is, of course, a process. The biggest difficulty at this stage is standing up straight. It takes time. I am very satisfied with my surgeon’s work (5/5)
My biggest concern before the operation was the recovery period, and it really is quite demanding. Fifteen days after my full tummy tuck with navel repositioning, standing upright is still the biggest challenge. My tummy is already visibly flatter, but naturally still swollen. I am very satisfied with my surgeon’s work (5/5), and the clinic and staff were also good (4/5). My advice to anyone planning this: prepare well for the recovery period. Comfortable clothes, plenty of water, wet wipes and the right snacks such as wholemeal products, skyr and probiotics are worth their weight in gold. And very importantly: make sure you start taking a laxative, e.g. fig syrup, immediately after the operation.
Excellent anaesthesia team; the preparation and administration of the general anaesthetic went smoothly (I didn’t feel a thing – it was like falling asleep for a minute) Care in hospital was provided by the nursing team, though the standard varied. The doctor took the time to talk to me, and all my questions were answered
The nursing staff have a serious lack of knowledge; they generally know very little about nursing. The medical care was fine. Hygiene was appalling; I never once saw the nursing team disinfect their hands after any procedure. The doctor’s visit after the operation lasted less than 5 minutes. The attitude seemed to be: ‘It’s already been paid for, so that’s that’ – with little attention paid afterwards. Poor information regarding discharge; I was practically discharged from the clinic within 30 minutes.

My operation at the clinic went very well right from the start. Communication and coordination were also very good. The clinic is ISO 9001 certified and is hygienically clean. The materials are of high quality and the doctor is empathetic and competent. The results of the abdominoplasty (tummy tuck and closure of the rectus diastasis) and breast augmentation are aesthetic and I am very satisfied.
My girlfriend was able to accompany me, which was included in the price.
There is still some room for improvement in the initial communication. Otherwise, everything went well.

From the day i contacted Bookimed they answered my within minutes. I explained the procedure i wanted to have and also explained how worried I was. They were very patient, reassuring and found me the best hospital and surgeon. Yasin my medical manager had been with me throughout my tummy tuck surgery. Istanbul Aesthetic Center was amazing and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Dr Ergin Er explained everything before my surgery and checked on me every day whilst at the hospital. Even when I left Istanbul and arrived home if I had a concern, I knew I could message Yasin and he always replies within minutes. I stayed at the clinic for 6 days, good conditions, separate room, 3 meals a day. The medical staff was always on the phone, they helped in any situation. I was surprised that manipulations with blood (taking analyses, treatment of stitches after surgery) are carried out without disposable gloves, for this a huge minus. Consultations with the doctor were also very fast, he was always in a hurry. I had a lot of questions, but half of them remained unanswered. He does his job, but especially does not explain or tell anything. For me this is also a disadvantage.

I had a tummy tuck with Dr M. Mustafa. He’s an excellent doctor, and the operation went well. Recovery isn’t easy, so it’s important to be prepared for this in advance. For flights, be sure to book the airline’s service for passengers with reduced mobility (wheelchair assistance / special assistance) — after the operation, it is practically impossible to walk to the gate on your own, especially at Istanbul’s large airport.
