Best Medical Equipment for Lung cancer Treatment and Diagnosis in Germany

Da Vinci Robotic Surgery System

Da Vinci Robotic Surgery System

Description

The system provides a surgeon with precise tiny instruments to manage surgery with maximal safety and accuracy. A surgeon manipulates on a special console, observing the operated area on 3D images in real-time. The tiny instruments make accurate incisions excluding the “trembling hand” effect and wrong movements.

Features

Da Vinci robotic system is used as an alternative to open surgery to reduce pain, bleeding, minimize risks of infection and trauma of healthy tissues. An operation is performed through several 1cm incisions, not a big one 15 cm in size as for open surgery. Due to this, a patient recovers faster compared to traditional surgery: within 2-3 weeks instead of several months.

Result for Lung cancer

389 patients with non-cell lung cancer had robotic-assisted lobectomy. The surgery took 60-120 min on average. A minimal blood loss (0-100 ml) was reported in 95.8% of cases. The hospital stay was 3-7 days on average. The study of 212 patients who had robotic surgery to remove lung cancer showed 75.6 months free-disease survival for stage 1, 42.3 months for stage 2, 51.2 months for stage 3, and 10.3 months for stage 4.

CyberKnife

CyberKnife

Description

CyberKnife is a robotic device to perform radiosurgery with precise radiation delivery to the organs affected with benign and malignant tumors.

Features

This method allows destroying tumors without incisions and pain; it is frequently used as an alternative to surgery when neoplasms are hard to reach or cannot be operated. The radiation is directed accurately, so it does not affect healthy tissues or organs. Treatment with CyberKnife is an outpatient procedure: just after a session (it lasts about 30-90 minutes), a patient can return home and their everyday activities.

Result for Lung cancer

The study based on CyberKnife treatments of 35 patients during a medium follow-up of 18 months demonstrated control of a tumor in 71% of cases with 77% survival rate. Another study of 56 patients showed 86% survival rate for 1-33 months follow-up. With CyberKnife treatment, a lung cancer patient will not experience such side effects as sore throat or breath shortness.

Proton Therapy

Proton Therapy

Description

Proton therapy is a type of radiation therapy affecting tumors with protons, not X-rays. The X-rays damage healthy tissues on their way to a tumor that limits their usage. In the case with proton therapy, protons precisely hit a neoplasm, while healthy tissues remain unaffected that allow using stronger doses of irradiation to hit tumors located near vital organs. During a session, a patient lays on the table and a machine rotates producing proton beams to hit a tumor.

Features

This is an outpatient procedure; a person can leave a hospital just after a session is over. Usually, the whole treatment cycle takes 30 minutes to complete. It usually continues 5 times a week for several weeks. The radiation dose may change over the treatment. No specific rehab is needed. Such side effects as fatigue, headache, hair loss that can develop over time.

Result for Lung cancer

The study examined 35 patients with a medium age of 82 years. All of them received proton-beam therapy. The overall 3-year survival rate was 67.2%: 58.2% in patients with inoperable lung cancer and 90% in those with operable lung cancer.

Verified review. The patient was treated of lung cancer in Medical Center in Solingen

Not good. The people that I had appointments with did not show up. I met with others who seemed to doubt my records and then claimed that my medical imaging showed no problems whatsoever. I returned home and now seem to have pneumonia in the top of my lungs around the vertebra that are known to have lesions (T1,T2,T3). I consider your service to be a fraud.
