How Much Does Ultrasonic rhinoplasty Cost in Thailand?

The cost for ultrasonic rhinoplasty in Thailand typically ranges from $2,500 / ฿85,000 to $4,000 / ฿136,000. Final pricing depends on the surgical complexity, clinic accreditation, and the surgeon's specialized experience. In the US, similar procedures cost around $16,000 / ฿544,000 on average. Patients save approximately 79% by choosing Thailand for this advanced technique. These offers generally include the piezo surgery, anesthesia, and facility fees in Bangkok.

  • Hospital stay: Some facilities include 1–2 nights of recovery in their surgical price.
  • Advanced imaging: High-end packages often incorporate 3D scan previews to plan the outcome.
  • Premium implants: Using specialized materials like Biopore can increase the total cost significantly.
  • Anesthesia fees: Confirm if the quote includes general anesthesia as some prices exclude it.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Choosing a hospital with international credentials offers the highest value for medical tourists. For example, Asia Cosmetic Hospital holds Joint Commission International (JCI) and ISO certifications. They report a 0% complication rate, which is vital for complex facial surgeries. While clinics like ID Clinic Bangkok offer competitive entry prices around $3,100, larger hospitals provide extensive multi-specialty support. Patients should prioritize facilities that bundle post-operative medications and airport transfers into their initial quote.

My breathing is now even better than before
My biggest concern was that the result might look unnatural or that my breathing might be affected. Neither of these things happened. In fact, my breathing is now even better than before. During the open rhinoplasty, a small bump was removed and the bridge of my nose is now, even so soon after the procedure, already straighter, just as I wanted. In addition, the tip of my nose already looks much more defined. The staff and the surgeon were consistently supportive and answered all my questions patiently, which gave me a great deal of reassurance. I felt I was in good hands.
Very simple and straightforward

I'm still healing from my surgery but so far I'm very happy with the result and would recommend the hospital and clinic, and would like to reassure anyone going abroad that you'll be in good hands!
Had a rhinoplasty at B care hospital and the care the team provided was amazing. Just wanted to write this to reassure anyone looking into it, as my family were concerned about me heading out to Thailand to have the procedure as a lot of families would be. The hospital and clinic were sparkling clean. The co-ordinator, nurse and doctor were all just lovely and very attentive to my needs. There was no difficulty communicating with the doctor who went through exactly what would be done during the procedure. One thing I was happy about was the 2 nights in hospital - other places I looked at only gave you one night, or even home the same day. Being sleepy after the surgery, I wouldn't have wanted to go back to my accom the same day. I was grateful I had the lovely nurse Mariko looking after me. Also the room at the hospital was lovely - spacious and bright with a nice en suite and all the facilities you would need. I also realised I had tonsillitis on the day I left the hospital (I think I got it before I even had the surgery) and the team were very caring and made sure I had all the medications I needed for that too, before going back to my accommodation. I'm still healing from my surgery but so far I'm very happy with the result and would recommend the hospital and clinic, and would like to reassure anyone going abroad that you'll be in good hands! Bookimed were also really good at keeping in touch and my coordinator Marsela was patient while I took my time to decide if I was going to go ahead with the procedure in the first place, and was always there to answer any questions I had. All very much appreciated!

I'm very impressed with the outcome
I'm very impressed with the outcome. Bookimed assistant was helpful and arrange a virtual consultation with the consultant. While English was not his strong fort, his expertise made up for it. The staff, especially Margi was extremely valuable as she speaks fluently English. Her knowledge and expertise was well appreciated as well as her care and attentiveness. The staff was nice. I did rhinoplasty and liposuction and I'll very impressed with the outcome. Post op care was provided. The nose did not hurt post op in comparison with the liposuction, which was quite uncomfortable. Not painful, numb and tender I suppose. As to the cost, it's fairly competitive.
The expertise
More English speakers would have been nice.

The language needs to be improved for translation. The doctor needs to spend more time with clients explaining the procedures that will happen. The after care is very intermediate. Any issues raised is hard to explain because of the language difference. A staff are wonderful however I’m not sure about the qualifications felt like I was in an abattoir. Still waiting to see surgeon back in home country as cast taken off to soon and nose is out of shape . Rather concerned but I guess you get what you pay for
The staff are wonderful, but again, not sure about the qualification
Language communication with the consultation very poor and only seen us for three minutes. Photo of what I was expecting. Outcome doesn’t look anything like I specified. When raised with the surgeon was told once again with poor English that it was swelling and a nod of head that all is ok..
About Bookimed service
This is very far from what the photos and staff on booking IMED presented. It felt like a very rough area, hygiene had a lot to stand up for western standard , again staff are wonderful but the language barrier is unbearable when you are getting surgery and worries about certain things that just can’t be answered due to language barriers

I was assured of the professionalism of the doctor and staff and this made me felt more confident of the operation success
I always have doubts on surgery in Bangkok for safety and success level of each operation. However, during the whole process, I was assured of the professionalism of the doctor and staff and this made me felt more confident of the operation success.
1. The staff at the clinic were helpful most of the time, especially if you travel alone. They will provide some helpful insights before and after operation. 2. Operation was smooth in a clean and organized clinic.
1. Transport arrangement maybe limited as there is only one driver.

Everyone (doctors & staff) were incredibly attentive during my rhinoplasty procedure. I felt heard from the minute I had my consult to the minute I left after my final appointment. The staff were always available and my result was exactly what o wanted. Very very pleased
The doctor listened & the staff were extremely approachable and pro active. The facilities were clean, modern and I felt comfortable throughout.
There was nothing I didn’t like but I feel like a slightly better hotel would make the experience nicer although the staff there were lovely and the place was clean.

FAQ about Ultrasonic rhinoplasty in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

Is ultrasonic rhinoplasty considered a safe procedure in Thailand?

Ultrasonic rhinoplasty is a safe procedure in Thailand when performed by board-certified specialists at accredited hospitals. The technique uses piezoelectric tools to reshape nasal bones with high precision. This avoids traditional hammers and chisels. It significantly reduces trauma to blood vessels and surrounding soft tissue.

  • Piezotome precision: Ultrasonic vibrations target bone while leaving skin and cartilage unharmed.
  • Clinical safety: ID Clinic Bangkok maintains a 95–96% success rate for major cosmetic procedures.
  • Professional accreditation: Top surgeons typically hold certifications from the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand.
  • Enhanced recovery: Specialist centres offer hyperbaric oxygen and light therapy to reduce swelling quickly.
  • Australian patient support: Major clinics in Bangkok provide free airport transfers and dedicated international wings.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Clinics in Bangkok often include specialised aftercare like 24-hour nursing and hyperbaric therapy. These services are vital for international patients flying back to Australia. They help stabilse results and let surgeons monitor initial healing before the flight home.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand find that high surgeon credentials and clear post-operative support are critical. They suggest speaking with multiple former patients to confirm how the clinic handles follow-up care.

How do I choose the most qualified surgeon for ultrasonic rhinoplasty in Thailand?

Choosing a qualified surgeon for ultrasonic rhinoplasty in Thailand involves verifying board certifications. Check these through the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand. Specialists at centres like Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital use 3D facial scanning to visualise results. They use piezoelectric tools for precise bone reshaping.

  • Surgical credentials: Confirm certification from the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand for safety.
  • Visualisation: Seek clinics like Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital using Swiss 3D facial scanning.
  • High patient volume: ID Clinic Bangkok treats 4,000+ patients annually, indicating vast procedural experience.
  • Specialised training: Look for surgeons like Dr. Ploypailin Rattanachinnakorn with specific maxillofacial surgery certificates.
  • International standards: Prioritise facilities with ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management protocols.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics are leading the shift toward recovery-focused technology. Centres like Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital now bundle hyperbaric oxygen and light therapy into their protocols. This combination helps reduce post-operative swelling significantly faster than standard rest alone.

Patient Consensus: Patients in Thailand recommend prioritising the individual surgeon's rhinoplasty portfolio over clinic branding. They suggest requesting multiple case examples. This ensures the doctor's aesthetic style aligns with your goals.

What is the primary difference between ultrasonic rhinoplasty and traditional rhinoplasty techniques?

Ultrasonic rhinoplasty uses a piezoelectric device to sculpt nasal bones with high-frequency vibrations. Traditional methods rely on manual steel instruments like rasps and osteotomes. In Thailand, this technology allows surgeons to reshape bone without damaging surrounding soft tissue or blood vessels.

  • Vibration technology: Piezoelectric tools only affect bone. This leaves nerves and skin layers completely untouched.
  • Millimetre precision: Surgeons at Bangkok clinics use 3D facial scanning to plan exact bone modifications.
  • Reduced trauma: Avoiding manual bone breaking typically results in significantly less bruising and swelling.
  • Dorsal hump removal: High-frequency sculpting creates smoother profiles compared to filing with manual rasps.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital often pair ultrasonic tools with hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This combination speeds up healing for international patients. While traditional rhinoplasty in Thailand starts at $2,000, the ultrasonic version ranges from $2,500 to $4,000. This is a fraction of the $13,500 Australian average.

Patient Consensus: Many patients in Thailand notice minimal bruising around their eyes after ultrasonic procedures. They suggest viewing previous results to confirm the surgeon uses the piezo tool for all bone work.

Can ultrasonic rhinoplasty performed in Thailand correct a deviated septum?

Ultrasonic rhinoplasty in Thailand effectively corrects a deviated septum. Surgeons use a piezotome to reshape nasal bones with high precision. This technique minimises trauma to surrounding soft tissue and vessels. It allows surgeons to address breathing issues and cosmetic concerns in one procedure.

  • Technique precision: Piezotome tools use ultrasonic vibrations to cut bone without damaging delicate nasal membranes.
  • Expert specialists: Surgeons like Dr Ploypailin Rattanachinnakorn at Intrarat Hospital hold specialist maxillofacial surgery certificates.
  • Clinical planning: Clinics like Dr Chen Surgery Hospital use Swiss 3D scanning to model results.
  • Functional care: Specialists often combine septoplasty with ultrasonic techniques for clear airway passages.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Ultrasonic tools excel at bone reshaping. However, correcting a deviated septum often requires cartilage grafting. Some Bangkok clinics bundle 3D CT modelling into their A$3,500 to A$5,500 packages. This helps surgeons map internal structures accurately before theatre begins.

Patient Consensus: Patients found that requesting functional rhinoplasty alongside cosmetic changes improved their breathing. Many appreciated seeing 3D scans of their future results during initial consultations.

Is ultrasonic rhinoplasty less painful and does it lead to a shorter recovery time?

Ultrasonic rhinoplasty is generally less painful than traditional methods. It uses piezoelectric vibrations to reshape bone without damaging soft tissue or blood vessels. Patients in Thailand typically experience less swelling and bruising. This often results in a faster return to daily activities within 7 to 10 days.

  • Reduced trauma: Ultrasonic tools target bone specifically. They preserve surrounding nerves, muscles, and skin.
  • Less bruising: Minimal vascular disruption leads to faster resolution of discolouration and swelling.
  • Quicker healing: Many patients return to work in 1 week instead of 2.
  • Post-op therapy: Clinics like Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital offer light therapy to further reduce swelling.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While the technology is useful, recovery speed often depends on hospital stays and aftercare. Leading Bangkok centres provide 24-hour nursing care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. These additions can speed up healing more than the ultrasonic tool alone.

Patient Consensus: Many patients describe the Thailand experience as easier than expected with low pain levels. They suggest checking which surgical steps use ultrasonic tools to set realistic expectations for swelling.

How long should I plan to stay in Thailand after undergoing ultrasonic rhinoplasty?

Patients should plan to stay in Thailand for 7 to 10 days after ultrasonic rhinoplasty. This window allows the surgeon to monitor healing and manage swelling. They will also remove splints or stitches. Bangkok clinics often recommend this stay for safe international travel.

  • Follow-up care: Surgeons monitor initial healing and manage swelling during first-week appointments.
  • Splint removal: Internal splints and external casts typically come off within 7 days.
  • Flying safety: Staying 10 days reduces risks related to cabin pressure and wound healing.
  • Activity levels: Desk work is usually manageable 10 to 14 days after the procedure.

Bookimed Expert Insight: While basic surgery costs start from $2,500, recovery speed is a major value driver in Thailand. Dr Chen Surgery Hospital International Center uses hyperbaric oxygen and light therapy to reduce swelling. These treatments help international patients feel comfortable enough to fly home by day 7 or 8.

Patient Consensus: Visitors to Thailand suggest booking return flights only after confirming the stitch removal date. They recommend arranging transfers and post-op supplies like ice packs in advance for comfort.

What are the activity restrictions following ultrasonic rhinoplasty?

Patients must avoid strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, and bending over for three weeks. This prevents nasal pressure and swelling. Ultrasonic rhinoplasty is less traumatic than traditional methods. However, patients must protect the nasal bones during the six-week healing phase in Thailand.

  • Exercise limits: Skip high-intensity cardio, running, and gym workouts for 21 days.
  • Weight restrictions: Avoid lifting anything over 2 kg during the first week.
  • Pressure control: Do not bend over or blow your nose for 14 days.
  • Eyewear precautions: Switch to contacts instead of glasses for six weeks.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Thai clinics like Dr. Chen Surgery Hospital use hyperbaric oxygen and light therapy to speed up healing. Even if swelling looks minimal after 10 days, internal structures remain soft. Sticking to the three-week activity ban prevents the nose from widening or shifting.

Patient Consensus: Minimal walking around the house is helpful. However, many patients warn against returning to physical tasks too early. Protecting the nose from bumps during sleep and impact risks helps reach the best final shape.
