The liver resection surgery is performed in Anadolu Surgery Department.
Doctors apply such surgical techniques for partial hepatectomy:
- laparotomy operations through 1 incision in the right hypochondrium;
- laparoscopic interventions through several incisions up to 2 cm in size;
- operations using the Da Vinci robot.
The duration of the procedure depends on the size of the affected liver tissue. On average, the operation takes from 3 to 7 hours.
