"I can only say thanks to your company and Katerina
Good evening. I can only say thanks to your company and Katerina. Thank you so much for your help and support. The impression about the clinic itself was not very, often made nervous, dragged time, I can’t say anything about the professor either. Five minutes talk for $ 120 a bit too much. The clinic itself is not bad, in my opinion, a lot of clients have simply gathered and cannot cope with such volume, and here we are not talking about the desire to help, just money. How to undertake, I can say that robots need to take as much as possible so that they can cope with it, otherwise it negatively affects their reputation. Thank you again

"Translator Madina, who accompanied us all the time, just umnichka !!! In all delves into itself
Surface melanoma was detected in November 2016. A deep excision was carried out in the Kiev oncology center at Verkhovinaya Street. The thickness of melanoma in Breslow is 0.038 mm. In a year and a half, the histology was rechecked in Israel. After rechecking, applying with help to this resource, Constantine offered to undergo examination in the clinic of Turkey, in Istanbul. The clinic is called Liv Hospital. The glass and blocks were rechecked in Turkey. Almost everything coincided with Israeli data (0.68 mm thickness, 0.7 mm Israel) and 1 mitosis was detected. Translator Madina, who accompanied us all the time, just umnichka !!! In all delves into itself. You can all ask her again, she will ask the doctor if you do not understand something or have additional questions before the examination. Two doctor's consultations are included immediately in the cost when you pay only the first - one before the examinations and the second after. It was also possible to ask for other health problems and get advice. There are almost all doctors there. If you want to check on other issues - take with you all the available documents. I was also examined for gynecology, as in Ukraine they put dysplasia of the cervix. The diagnosis was not confirmed in the clinic of Turkey. At the moment, they said that the BSLU does not need to be done and every survey was painted for every 3 months in Ukraine. We thank Constantine and his colleague Julia for their assistance, as well as assistance in organizing a free transfer to Istanbul.

Expert Overview about Melanoma Treatment in Turkey

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

What are the primary melanoma treatment options available in Turkey?

Turkish oncology centers offer integrated melanoma treatments including wide local excision, Mohs microsurgery, and immunotherapy with drugs like Keytruda. JCI-accredited facilities follow international NCCN protocols. Specialized options such as Actinium-225 therapy and Natural Killer cell therapy are also available for advanced cases in Istanbul.

  • Surgical excision: Surgeons perform wide local excision or precise Mohs microsurgery for lesions.
  • Advanced immunotherapy: Clinics provide checkpoint inhibitors like Keytruda to boost the immune system.
  • Nuclear medicine: Centers like Anadolu provide Actinium-225 therapy for specific metastatic cancer types.
  • Precision diagnostics: Specialists use BRAF gene mutation testing to guide targeted therapy selection.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Anadolu Medical Center stands out because it is the only Turkish facility affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine. It integrates OECI-accredited cancer care with high patient volumes of 65,000 annually. This combination of American medical standards and high-frequency surgical experience typically results in more refined diagnostic histopathology revisions.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize the importance of having personal coordinators who handle the complex logistics of multi-day immunotherapy cycles. Many note that the multidisciplinary team approach helps them feel more confident during recovery.

Which hospitals are considered top-tier for melanoma care in Turkey?

Top-tier melanoma care in Turkey is concentrated in JCI-accredited centers like Anadolu Medical Center and Memorial Şişli Hospital. These facilities offer multidisciplinary treatments. Patients access advanced immunotherapy like Keytruda and precision diagnostics. Leading specialists often hold American or European board certifications.

  • Anadolu Medical Center: Affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine. It follows strict U.S. clinical oncology protocols.
  • Memorial Şişli Hospital: First Turkish hospital with JCI accreditation. It utilizes da Vinci robotic surgery.
  • Specialized treatments: Centers provide Mohs microsurgery, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and targeted therapy.
  • Expert credentials: Surgeons like Dr. Bulent Karagoz have over 20 years of experience.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Data shows a clear trend where top-rated Istanbul clinics leverage international affiliations for complex melanoma cases. Anadolu Medical Center serves 65,000 patients annually through its Johns Hopkins partnership. For advanced staging, look for centers with Digital PET/CT technology, like Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital. This equipment is vital for detecting small metastases that standard scans might miss.

Patient Consensus: Patients note that the depth of the medical team is vital. They appreciate having oncologists and plastic surgeons plan the surgery together to ensure both clear margins and good aesthetic results.

Who are the leading melanoma specialists in Turkey?

Leading melanoma specialists in Turkey include medical oncologists and surgeons at JCI-accredited centers in Istanbul. Experts like Dr. Bulent Karagoz and Dr. Yesim Yildirim specialize in advanced immunotherapy and targeted therapies. These physicians collaborate with specialists from Johns Hopkins Medicine to provide international treatment standards.

  • Dr. Bulent Karagoz: Oncology specialist at Anadolu Medical Center with 20+ years of experience.
  • Dr. Yesim Yildirim: ESMO-certified professor at Anadolu Medical Center focusing on metastatic melanoma immunotherapy.
  • Dr. Serkan Keskin: Memorial Sisli specialist with 25+ years expertise in targeted melanoma treatments.
  • Dr. Haluk Duman: Plastic surgeon at Anadolu Medical Center specializing in post-cancer reconstructive microsurgery.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Anadolu Medical Center stands out for melanoma care due to its dual OECI and ESMO accreditations. While many clinics offer standard surgery, this facility integrates Johns Hopkins-level diagnostics like Digital PET/CT and BRAF gene mutation analysis. This high-tech infrastructure supports 65,000 annual patients and facilitates complex systemic therapies often unavailable at smaller surgical centers.

Patient Consensus: Patients note it is important to choose clinics like Anadolu where oncology teams work alongside plastic surgeons. They emphasize that coordinating reconstructive surgery during the initial tumor removal leads to much better aesthetic results.

What are the success and survival rates for melanoma treated in Turkish centers?

Early-stage melanoma treated in Turkish oncology centers shows survival rates between 98% and 100%. These facilities achieve a 90% five-year survival rate for localized cases. Advanced metastatic melanoma survival has reached 50% through immunotherapy. Results align with international standards set by JCI-accredited institutions.

  • Early-stage survival: Patients frequently achieve 98% to 100% survival rates after surgery.
  • Regional spread: Five-year survival is approximately 63% when cancer reaches nearby nodes.
  • Immunotherapy response: Around 38% of patients show significant tumor reduction with modern drugs.
  • Targeted therapy: BRAF inhibitors provide a median survival of about 53 months.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Turkish oncology centers like Anadolu Medical Center maintain a high standard of care through their direct affiliation with Johns Hopkins Hospital. This partnership ensures that patients receive the same treatment protocols used in the United States. With over 65,000 patients treated annually at this facility, the high volume of cases contributes to a refined expertise in complex surgeries like Mohs micrographic surgery and advanced Actinium-225 therapies.

Patient Consensus: Patients often mention that the coordinated care between surgeons and oncologists makes the treatment process much smoother. Many note that having access to advanced drugs like Keytruda in Turkey provides a sense of relief when standard treatments are not enough.

How long is a typical stay, and what does an international patient package include?

The single-player campaign for *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* typically takes between 7 to 9 hours to complete if you focus primarily on the main story missions. Players who take extra time to explore the safehouse, interact with team members, and complete optional side objectives can expect the experience to last closer to 12 hours. As with previous entries in the series, the playtime varies based on your chosen difficulty level and playstyle. Players tackling the campaign on `Veteran` or `Realism` difficulty will likely spend more time navigating challenging combat encounters and utilizing stealth mechanics. The inclusion of a hub area, the Rook, adds depth between missions, encouraging players to spend more time upgrading gear and uncovering lore. Beyond the main story, *Black Ops 6* offers substantial additional content through its multiplayer modes and the return of round-based Zombies. Mastery of these modes, along with completing challenges and unlocking weapon skins, provides hundreds of hours of additional gameplay, consistent with the franchise's traditional structure.

Is it safe to travel soon after melanoma surgery, and what follow-up schedule is recommended?

Travel is generally safe 10 to 14 days after melanoma surgery once initial healing begins. Most experts recommend waiting 7 to 10 days for short flights. Long-haul travel should be delayed for at least 2 to 3 weeks to minimize blood clot risks.

  • Travel timing: Wait 1 to 3 weeks before flying based on procedure invasiveness.
  • Follow-up start: Schedule the first clinical check-up 1 to 2 weeks post-surgery.
  • Monitoring frequency: High-risk cases require exams every 3 to 6 months for 2 years.
  • In-flight safety: Use compression garments and stay hydrated to prevent deep vein thrombosis.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Turkish oncology centers often use a multidisciplinary approach involving both plastic surgeons and oncologists. For instance, Dr. Haluk Duman at Anadolu Medical Center specializes in skin tumor surgeries with 35+ years of experience. This collaboration ensures that reconstructive needs are met alongside oncology standards, which can streamline the recovery timeline for international patients.

Patient Consensus: Patients note that flying too early can cause painful swelling and bandage complications. They emphasize wearing compression sleeves and scheduling a local dermatology visit within two weeks of returning home.
