How Much Does Blepharoplasty (Eyelid correction) Cost in Phuket?

Blepharoplasty (Eyelid correction) in Phuket typically costs from $890 / ฿30,300 to $1,400 / ฿47,600. Final pricing depends on the surgical technique, anesthesia type, and the specialist's expertise. Phuket generally offers more competitive pricing for facial surgeries than Bangkok. Patients save around 83% compared to the US, where this procedure costs $6,500 / ฿221,000 on average. The price usually includes the surgeon fee, local anesthesia, and follow-up care.

  • Upper blepharoplasty: Usually the most affordable option for correcting drooping upper eyelids and vision obstruction.
  • Lower blepharoplasty: Often requires more complex fat repositioning and typically costs more than upper lid surgery.
  • Combined four-lid surgery: Offers a better overall value than booking upper and lower procedures separately.
  • Clinical tier: Choosing a JCI-accredited hospital can add a premium compared to specialized aesthetic clinics.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Phuket serves as Thailand's premier destination for boutique facial plastic surgery. Clinics here offer highly personalized care that often exceeds the volume-based approach in Bangkok. Phi Beauty Clinic demonstrates this with its specialized focus on facial harmony and ISAPS certification. Choosing these specialized boutiques often yields a better cost-value ratio than the larger general hospitals.

Data verified by Bookimed as of October 2026, based on patient requests and official quotes from 481 clinics worldwide. Median costs are based on real invoices (2025–2026) and updated monthly. Actual prices may vary.

I enjoyed my experience, due to staff being friendly and understanding
I enjoyed my experience, due to staff being friendly and understanding . I felt very comfortable and understood. I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone. I got lipo and a BBL done, so as you can imagine that was quite scary. But the medical team are very calm and reassuring.

My only issue was the availability of staff after my surgery. I was placed in a room and was only checked on once during my 3 hours recovery. I had to call a nurse to ask if I could discharged.I was fortunate that my husband was with me.

The anesthesiologist never spoke to me personally although I had concerns about general anesthesia. I was feeling sick and sleepy after surgery, so I was not able to ask for cold packs to minimize swelling and bruising till hours later. I think the nursing staff should have initiated it, or at least offered the cold packs. I had significant swelling and bruising for several days. I looked frightening the first week, so much so that I couldn't use 'face recognition' app. I still don't like 'the new look' of my face. Feel like it has been pulled too tight. And the extra folds of the eyelids which was the reason I wanted corrective surgery, are still present and not improved.
About Bookimed service
Mixed experience. Overall good service, but surgical outcome has been less favorable than I was hoping for (2 months later).

FAQ about treatment in Thailand

These FAQs come from real patients seeking medical assistance through Bookimed. Answers are given by experienced medical coordinators and trusted clinic representatives.

How do I choose the right clinic or surgeon for blepharoplasty in Phuket?

For blepharoplasty in Phuket, check the surgeon's certification. It should come from the Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons of Thailand or international bodies like ISAPS. Make sure the clinic uses board-certified specialists and operates in JCI-accredited or hospital-standard sterile environments.

  • Specialist certification: Confirm membership in the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
  • Clinical setting: Focus on facilities with documented emergency protocols and qualified anesthesia support.
  • Technique transparency: Talk about specific eyelid anatomy, including internal and external surgical approaches.
  • Case portfolio: Ask for before-and-after photos of patients with similar age and eye shapes.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Phuket clinics like Phi Beauty Clinic stand out for holding international accreditations from both ISAPS and ASPS. Data suggests you should focus on clinics that take part in global symposiums. These surgeons stay updated on millimeter-level precision techniques. Always check that the facility is a specialized surgical center, not a general wellness spa.

Patient Consensus: Patients emphasize choosing surgeons who specialize in eyelids rather than general face packages. This helps avoid drooping. Most recommend staying in Phuket for at least 10 days until sutures are removed.

How long do I need to stay in Phuket after blepharoplasty?

Plan for a stay of 7 to 10 days in Phuket after blepharoplasty. This timeframe gives the peak swelling time to go down. You'll also have stitches removed safely before travel. Surgeons usually require a final check-up. That check-up clears patients for long-haul flights and helps manage cabin pressure risks.

  • Suture removal: Surgeons usually remove non-dissolvable stitches between day 5 and day 7 post-surgery.
  • Travel clearance: A final medical inspection on day 10 confirms proper wound closure for travel.
  • Combined procedures: Lower or combined blepharoplasty often requires 10 to 14 days for safety.
  • Cabin pressure: Extended stays prevent air pressure changes from aggravating residual tissue swelling during flights.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Phuket clinics like Phi Beauty Clinic focus on a natural beauty look supported by international standards. Patients often aim for a 7-day trip, but our data shows a 10-day buffer works better. This extra time lets the clinic manage swelling professionally, which makes a real difference to the final result.

Patient Consensus: Travelers recommend bringing good sunglasses to manage light sensitivity during the first week. They suggest staying at least 10 days to make sure all stitches are out before heading to the airport.

Why do people choose Phuket for blepharoplasty (eyelid correction)?

People choose Phuket for blepharoplasty because it combines high-quality surgery at specialized clinics like Phi Beauty Clinic with significant savings. Patients get board-certified surgeons and internationally accredited facilities. They also recover discreetly in a tropical resort setting during the mandatory healing window.

  • Cost efficiency: Prices range from $890 to $1,400, offering about 83% savings.
  • High credentials: Local surgeons hold certifications from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
  • Discreet recovery: Patients use private pool villas for the initial 7-to-14 day healing period.
  • Natural results: Clinics focus on a natural beauty approach, prioritizing safety and subtle aesthetic improvements.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Phuket stands out because top clinics often hold dual international accreditations like ISAPS and ASPS, which is rare for regional hubs. The average US price is $6,500, but the real value in Phuket is the inclusive care. Most providers here bundle surgeon fees and medications. Western clinics typically bill these separately.

Patient Consensus: Patients value how Thai surgeons take time to explain incision lines personally. Swelling can last 2 weeks, but the relief of having barely visible scars in natural skin folds is a common highlight.

What is the typical recovery timeline after blepharoplasty in Phuket?

Blepharoplasty recovery in Phuket typically requires 7 to 10 days. Patients can safely fly home after that. Initial swelling and bruising peak within 72 hours. Most visible signs fade by day 14. Full aesthetic results and internal tissue healing settle over 1 to 3 months.

  • Early phase: Swelling and tightness peak during the first 48 to 72 hours.
  • Suture removal: Surgeons at Phuket clinics usually remove stitches between day 6 and day 9.
  • Social readiness: Most patients look presentable in public after 7 to 14 days.
  • Activity limits: Avoid strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for at least 3 weeks after surgery.

Bookimed Expert Insight: Clinics often suggest a 7-day stay. However, our data shows a 10 to 14-day window is safer. This extra time allows professional suture removal and helps manage unexpected swelling before long-haul flights. Accredited centers, like Phi Beauty Clinic, emphasize this to help incisions settle well before travel.

Patient Consensus: Expect to feel better before you look fully healed. Patients can often work by day 4. However, light sensitivity and dry eyes often persist for a full month.
