The photos were misleading, and my partner and I were stuck in a small room with no balcony for my recovery, in an area with very few amenities for short walks.
Communication was excellent from start to finish both from the co-ordinators and everyone at the hospital and all transport was efficient. The only thing I would change would be the hotel. The Veyron Hotel was meant to be 4 star, but it definitely wasn’t and I’ve stayed in hotels frequently all around the world. The photos were very misleading in terms of the general appearance of the hotel and the facilities.
There was only one small terrace at the front of the hotel where people generally went to smoke (we don’t so it’s not pleasant) and our room had no balcony, so me and my partner were basically stuck in a small room for the week of my recovery and the area the hotel was in had very little in the way of shops/ cafes etc when I was able to do short walks. It would have been nice to stay in a resort where we could relax outside to enjoy the sun and eat in different restaurants without having to pay for a taxi.

The clinic itself is great. The only issue was with the night staff, who didn't seem to know what they were doing as much as the day staff did. One thing to note is that there were additional expenses for take-home medications, which I think should have been included in the initial quote. For future patients, I’d say most things are covered under general expectations, so no special preparation was needed.
